"This is the second time we've come. The tuna tartare was fresh andbwell plated. The carbonara is rich and very interesting, while the spicy lamb burger is also delicious and quite filling. The dill sauce was a great condiment on the burger. The chocolate mousse is some of the best in the city. Prices are reasonable for portions and quality. Constructive criticism: Service could have been improved; our waiter was fine at first, but quickly forgot about us. I had to wave my arms enthusiastically multiple times to get his attention after our entree was served. After that point he was very gruff with us, as if he saw his tip as a lost cause afterwards. I overheard another woman sat nearby complaining about the slow service as well. We also wish they had the steak tartare, which is one of their signature dishes. It also would be a good idea for the management to update the little menu cards on the table that claim you can get a free dessert by downloading an app and posting about them on Instagram. Our waiter gruffly informed us that it's only one dessert per table, which is not in the fine print. That probably would have been a totally fine revelation, if he had been nicer about the clarification."

"for the first time before a PPAC show. reservation was for 5:15 we received our food at 6:10. the PPAC show was at 6:30 o'clock. Of course, the service was very slow and we had to get rid of our eating. they give a free dessert card in their PPAC subscription and we couldn't even use it. Eating was good, atmosphere is nice. but the service was not good. I don't think I'll go before a show again."

"I've lived just around the corner from this restaurant my entire life, and I've watched other places come and go, often serving mediocre food. Finally, Ortega BBQ has brought exceptional cuisine to my neighborhood. Every dish I've tried from the menu has been spot on and incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend Ortega. My personal favorites are the crowned green soup (Calde verde) and the beef with shells, but honestly, everything I've had is better than most offerings in the area."

"What a disappointment! We have been here several times before and food and service were excellent. So my husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by going here. Big mistake!!! We were seated right away. Once at our table we waited 20 mins just to be acknowledged we were there, then the waitress came and took our drink order coffee and pop only and our dinner order. It took another 20 mins to get drinks, salad and bread basket. Never refilled drinks even though she told me she would be right back and after 50 mins waiting for dinner we told hostess who was clearing table next to us that we were leaving as we had now been waiting an hour and a half for our dinner. She apologized saying they were short staffed. If they are short staffed don’t seat everyone and take your order. And don’t tell customers you’re short staffed after the fact. She should have been helping the wait staff by refilling drinks and even running food out if it was ready. We understand about the employee situations but have never received service this poor"

"I wouldn't call the restaurant exceptional, but it was decent. We visited on a Wednesday night with another couple, and the place was quite empty, with only 2-3 other tables occupied. The service was good, and the food was satisfactory. One person ordered the Coq Au Vin and another had the pork chop, both of which they enjoyed. I opted for the shrimp tacos, which were tasty but a bit too saucy for my liking. Another diner mentioned the same issue with their chicken tacos. I might consider giving it another chance, but I'm not entirely convinced."
