"I have been going to breakfast at this place for about a year. The food is amazing with plenty to choose from. Always come out fresh and hot. Last week I had the pleasure to try their newly minted chicken pot pie and it did not disappoint. It was nice and creamy inside with a great crust on the outside. Comes in a cute ramekin and is the comfort food you need during this cold wave! Check them out the next time you need a little home comfort!"

"Very nice sit down restaurant. Great owners, great management, great experienced waitresses. Great food at a reasonable price. I was happy to see that they opened a heated outdoor tent during the dreaded Covid “pandemic” but this place pulled it off perfectly. Their soups are tasty, especially the matzo ball and split pea soups. The BLT club is delicious and their fries are nice and crispy and made just the way they should be made. If you are looking for a great sit down restaurant, with tasty food options, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!"

"We had an amazing dining experience! My sons and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at this restaurant. The portion sizes were generous, the food was tasty, and our waitress was very attentive. I ordered "The Works" which was so filling that it could easily be shared. The buttermilk pancakes were incredibly soft and fluffy, and the bacon slices were large and delicious. I highly recommend skipping IHOP and trying The Original Pancake House for better food quality!"

"The prices for all the menu items were quite inflated. My wife ordered the crepes and received just one crepe served in a separate dish for $10. I ordered the 49ers, but they were just a flat stack of crepes on a plate, which isn't how 49ers are typically served. To be fair, the service was decent, and I don't have any major complaints in that regard. Overall, I don't believe it's worth the cost, as there are many better breakfast options in the Crystal Lake area."

"From the moment we went in, we received outstanding service. Our waitress was attentive and with enthusiasm. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy. They got fresh squeezed orange juice, so good. Pancakes were nice and yummy. Hubby enjoyed theSouthwestern Brisket Skillet that our waitress recommended. And I got the Starwood Egg Benedict. It was good, but the eggs weremore like hard boiled and not pouched. We pointed it out to our waitress and asked her if this is how they normally make the EggBenedict. She addressed it and brought me the pouched eggs in a separate bowl. But by the time they came, I had already eatenone of them and I was too full for the 2nd one. So I didn't get to have my Benedict with the runny yoke on top."

"Met my daughter here for late breakfast. Feels like you stepped into the past about 30-40 years. Old school looking breakfast place, everything had been there since Grandma was knitting socks. We all order our breakfast, they got all the good stuff, corned beef hash, omelettes, bacon all plenty big and delicious. However my kid goes and we 'll share the German pancake . I 've never had a German pancake so I said sure. It comes out several minutes after our plates and I 'll tell you what, this thing was huge. See the picture. We started adding the powdered sugar, syrup, butter and ripping off piece by piece. Heaven my friends. Like french toast married a pancake and they had a huge baby. Outstanding and worth it. Great job!! I was so inspired I made it when I got back home to Phoenix."
