"As for the food—excellent! I tried the Birria tacos and the Cali tacos along with some fries, and the flavor absolutely makes up for the lack of warmth behind the counter. Despite the staff’s disinterest, I would definitely return for the great food. The pineapple habanero sauce was deliciously sweet with a spicy kick, and I wish I could buy a bottle of it! There was some confusion about whether the staff clears the tables or if it’s up to the customers, so we went ahead and cleaned up ourselves. I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Edit: Who is in charge of the fish tank? It could use some care."

"This restaurant is a true gem located in downtown Vista. It’s a family-run establishment that serves authentic and delicious food. In the photos, you can see the three enchilada plate, which features one cheese, one chicken, and one beef enchilada, accompanied by beans and rice. There’s also a plate with two chicken tacos, along with beans and rice. Everything is fresh and flavorful. When you’re seated, they bring chips and homemade salsa to your table. There are several outdoor tables to choose from, as well as some seating inside. It’s a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, and the quality is always consistently excellent!"

"Viva Great Food! We ventured out seeking some Tex-Mex for lunch in downtown Albany and decided to try Viva Cinco De Mayo (VCDM). I figured a 4.4 review on Google meant something and it does. VCDM offers a great variety of dishes including options for vegetarians, a few breakfast selections, and a dedicated lunch menu. We chose the enchilada and chimichanga platters. The enchiladas platter comes with three (the lunch menu offers two) and can be topped with any combination of their green, red, or bean sauce; we weren’t quite sure if you could mix the meats. Both platters came with sides of rice and black beans. My husband chose chicken as the protein and tried each of the different sauces. Served atop the sauces is a layer of finely chopped lettuce, a sprinkling of cheese, and a drizzle of sour cream. His favorite sauce was the bean sauce but said the other two were good. It was just something about the bean sauce which was a bit better tasting. My carnitas chimichanga came out golden brown with a side of guacamole and a sliced radish on top of the rice which made for a pleasant-looking dish. It came stuffed full of green peppers, onion, red peppers, cheese, and meat. I opted to leave out the green peppers. The only downfall to the dish was they may have doubled up on the red peppers since I asked to forego the green ones; the red peppers were a bit overwhelming. Aside from that, it was delicious as the cheese was melted and stringy and the pork cooked well and perfectly seasoned. We both thoroughly enjoyed the black beans as it seems they add a touch of cacao. They offer Mexican Coca-Cola by the bottle and free chips and salsa. They do quite a bit of take-out business which may have slowed the kitchen as it seemed like the food took a bit of time to arrive. The delay was not an issue, however, as we were sitting outside enjoying the nice weather and the food itself was worth the wait. Our server was quite pleasant and helpful, and the restaurant looks to be well-kept. All-in-all, we’ll soon be going back for more."

"TL;DR: Weaselly and dishonest, rude, only average food nothing special. More detail: One of my biggest pet peeves is dishonest, weaselly business practices. I ordered guacamole; menu sign lists the price as 6.99. When the young lady (who was rude attitude rang it up, it charged me 7.99 (a dollar more . When I pointed out the price as quoted on the sign, she looked me in the eye and immediately coldly said, That price is wrong. Excuse me?? Oh it iS, is it?? Well, isn 't that convenient. It 's not the dollar that angers me; I can afford it. It 's the dishonesty and the attitude. The correct response should have been: Sorry sir; we changed the price and haven 't changed the sign yet. Let me re do the total for you (followed by removing a dollar from my total . That price is wrong is NOT THE CORRECT RESPONSE. (Oh, and I wonder how long the price on the sign has been wrong and how many people noticed the overcharging going on? So, this place cheats its customers, and gives rude service. Is that all? No. My food was also utterly average, nothing special. Congratulations, you cheated me out of an extra dollar. You 'll never see me again, nor anybody I talk to about you, so enjoy your gain. No reason to come here for meh food, rude attitude, and sleazy dishonest business practices. No surprise to me that there are so many negative reviews on Yelp mentioning how rude the clerks are. Go elsewhere."

"Excellent mix of typical Mexican food, but upscale, ancient dishes from southern Mexico, and contemporary takes on old dishes. “Green corn” tamales are superb. So are the Moles. We had a Sunday reservation, only to find that the City had closed off the street for a street festival. I found parking blocks away; we were all late to our reservation, but Lula’s held our table. They were so kind when we were all frazzled.I’m of Mexican descent. I rarely take my parents to Mexican restaurants because my mother feels she can out cook most restaurants. And she can. I took my parents to Lula’s for my mother’s birthday and she looooved Lula’s and flipped for the food. The crepes de camarón are my favorite appetizer. Save room for dessert. I recommend the flan sampler"

"This was our first visit, and we really appreciated the extended hours from 3 PM to 3 AM. We have no complaints; we just kept forgetting! "We went here today and it was, as many described, fantastic. My wife had the fish tacos with cucumber topping and I had the shrimp tacos with mango topping they were fantastic. And on Friday there are $1.99 each.They come with the pickled carrots and serrano, red sauce, green sauce, and avocado sauce (like El pollo Loco but better .We sat inside, there are four booths (4 people each and bar table, sits another four and ADA seating for 2 (compliant .Workers were very positive, service was great, and they were professional I do not think they knew I speak Spanish, so the chisme is what you would expect at a mom and pop shop nothing bad.Most people ordered to go whilst we were they (1 p.m. . They do not serve alcohol, but have good selection of Hispanic and American drinks.They also have a Taco Tuesday $1.45 tacos: cabeza, chorizo, pollo, asada, carnitas...We HAVE to try that out too.They have a full menu of tasty dishes and plates that we want to try. Check this place out, order, and ENJOY. You will not regret it. Our bill with a soda was $11.97 I would eat there since the food will be warmer than taking it home."

"Corona Safe Restaurant... Just discovered Marita today and they are one mile from my home. Cant miss that BIG OPEN sign. Clean, beautiful Decor of Puerto Rico, family business, hand sanitizer in each table and the customer service was excellent. I am posting the pictures that I took. Empanadas was chunky and had great flavors. The Papa Locas was awesome, with so much flavor and it's big enough for 2 people. I had shrimp taco my sister had beef taco and it was excellent. We are completely stuffed. They also have Marta and Cole cchampagne. I highly recommend it and this is now my new neighborhood Boricua Restaurant. prices reasonable."

"My past experiences with this restaurant have been the worst. Last time I was there we saw the cashier walk outside with family members while we were waiting to order our food. We waited for her to go back in and after a few minutes I just went straight to the window and gave the lady my order. Today I went to order my food and it went worst that last time. I waited in line for about 20 minutes. Saw a guy pee on a car while my 6 year old daughter was in the car with me. When I got home I found out they gave me the wrong order. I call the restaurant and no answer. When they finally answered the phone sounds horrible and they couldn't hear me. I decided to eat the food and try again tomorrow. When I opened the food I found a hair inside the burrito. I will go to the restaurant to try and see if they could either give me my actual food or my money back. I feel disgusted by the experience."

"I ordered a one-topping pizza, but while I was checking out, I noticed a drink had been added to my order that I never requested. I canceled the order and asked why the price on the register didn’t match the menu. The cashier told me it was because I had added extra cheese. I explained that I wanted just a one-topping cheese pizza and that cheese was my additional topping. He insisted that it was considered extra. I tried to clarify that cheese was meant to be my topping, but the young cashier wouldn't hear it and suggested I go somewhere else. So, I did. I refuse to spend my money at any business that doesn’t appreciate its customers or tries to take advantage of them."

"I gave this Burrito Boy location on Chambers at 18th 1 star because that was the lowest rating available. I went in yesterday afternoon to order 2 Carnitas burritos to go. 1 with everything but sour cream and 1, for me, with NO beans, lettuce or tomatoes. I sat down to eat a couple hours later. I took a bite. NOTHING BUT BEANS. I took a 2nd bite. A LITTLE BIT OF RICE AND ANOTHER MOUTHFUL OF BEANS. I opened up the burrito and found a little bit of rice a little bit of carnitas, no sour cream and a LIFETIME SUPPLY OF BEANS. I threw it in the trash and had a bowl of cereal for dinner. I called this Burrito Boy a few minutes ago and asked for the manager. I was told there is NO manager just employees on all shifts. The employee I spoke to had never met, or even talked to, the owner. I was told to call back after 5PM when the employees from yesterday would be on duty again. Apparently, all the employees at this location have NO AUTHORITY to deal with any type of problem. I will never go to this Burrito Boy location again and I would advise everyone else to go to a different location as well."

"Today is my 3rd time trying their pastor tacos. 1st time was really flavorful, thinly sliced, perfectly grilled and crispy, tasted like how pastor tacos should be. 2nd and 3rd time I ordered pastor, the meat was served in chunks, almost like how they chop up the steak at Chipotle.
