"Yesterday, I passed by several barbecue restaurants and drove 8.6 miles to Pokejoes on Parmer. I ordered a special meal for my relatives who had recently moved from Michigan and were seriously missing Texas barbecue. I treated them to brisket, ribs, sausage, beans, okra, potato salad, coleslaw, mild sauce, and Texas toast, and everything was absolutely perfect. It was a successful remedy for their cravings, and they were incredibly grateful. When I got to the cashier, I realized I had forgotten my wallet. I explained the situation to the manager, Devon, and even offered to leave my watch as collateral, but he assured me he trusted me. After we finished eating, I returned to pay the bill. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for barbecue. If Devon gets more customers who forget their wallets, I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts asking about the brand of watch they’re willing to leave behind."
