"Let me first start by saying that I have been a fan of Saint Stephen since they opened last year. As a resident of Germantown and an avid explorer of food based experiences, I was thrilled to have Chef RJ join the local family. Tonight, we dined with Chef at Saint Stephen to thank the future father in law for his hard work and to celebrate my fiancé for expanding her footprint in Germantown. As the owner of ABEDNEGO, she has seen the neighborhood grow and evolve; Saint Stephen is one of the major highlights of said evolution. Tonight, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne to begin our celebration. Each cocktail was expertly crafted you can’t go wrong. While everything looked delicious, we kept things “low key” by ordering the StS Burger and Chicken Schnitzel. If these dishes provide indication of what to expect, order EVERYTHING. Burger is easily top 5 in Nashville. Cooked to perfection and balanced in flavor from the black garlic aioli to the special sauce. The Chicken Schnitzel expands your palette with the foie aioli and green tomatoes. After a near religious experience courtesy of Chef RJ’s dinner course, we truly were swept off our feet with dessert. The goat cheese cheesecake was delicate and rich. As a cheesecake fanatic, I can tell you this is a staple for me. The pecan pie tart...do it. It had all the elements you desire from pecan pie, yet more accessible as a tart. With the bold and traditional flavors of pecan, paired with the flaky crust, I could have eaten an entire pie and had zero regrets. I can only give you one piece of lasting advice if you have made it this far book your reservation now. Or show up without one and still be wowed. Happy hour is fantastic to add to the appeal of this restaurant. Chef RJ, thank you."
