"The food is very good. Unfortunately everything else from service to atmosphere professionalism and organization is garbage. Hence the one star for good food. I called an hour before they were closed per Google. And the person who answered the phone wouldn't take my order because they were closed. I asked what time on Fridays they close now since clearly their Google profile was incorrect. They were unable to provide me a time and after a couple of rounds of questioning they finally answered that they had little business today so they closed. While this is understandable it's no way to run a business. I hope that they find their desired rhythm soon because it would be unfortunate for a restaurant with such good food to go out of business. Although I do understand why they have little business considering the complaints listed above."

"I absolutely love City Chopsticks! Sunny, the friendly gentleman who assists me with my orders, is incredibly sweet, intelligent, and has a wonderful smile along with a gorgeous hairstyle. The food here is outstanding—my favorites include the shrimp dumplings, crispy duck, green beans, and eggplant. There's truly something for everyone. Recently, I injured myself and was unable to cook, but City Chopsticks came to the rescue with their fast service. Sunny and his team really lifted my spirits. Dining here is a must, and I recommend tipping generously in cash. Thank you!"

"Yes and No. This is probably my 10th time coming here and I love it. Service is always great and food is always fantastic. My only complaint is that I hear 'We 're Out Of That ' far too often. I loved both the crispy duck and stuffed wings but although they still serve it, I have to apparently call ahead to see if they can have it prepared for me when I come in the next day? What if I 'm not feeling duck tomorrow? Theyre menu is also a little out dated. Somethings on the menu are items they no longer sell such as the honey glazed jumbo shrimp. Items such as fried mussels, crispy duck, and stuffed wings are a 50/50. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don 't. I 'd love it if they could just keep it in stock so that when I 'm in the mood for it I can just come right on in instead of doing call aheads. I 'm probably gonna have to search for a new crispy duck place if I 'm really in the mood for it. My waitress however made up for the no duck by suggesting me the amazing seafood volcano. "Came about 30 minutes before closing on a weekday. Nobody was inside but was hungry. Place looked and smelled clean. Was greeted and told it was takeout only. Okay gave it a try.The food was palatable but was not impressed with the taste or quality. My gut feeling was not to try it since it was close to closing. I believe we got what was intended to be thrown away before closing. We tried the kung pao chicken, steamed rice, walnut prawns and sweet and sour pork."

"I cannot understand why this place doesn't have more reviews. We have been eating here at this place for year and years. Through a few different owners the food has remained consistent and that is unusual. I believe that they are one of the few places in Lubbock that you can get Egg Foo Young. We have ordered take out from there several times during the shut down and it was great every single time. We also routinely order their sweet and sour chicken and it never disappoints. I suggest you give them a try and you just might discover a new go to place for great Chinese food. Great food and great service."

"This is probably the best sushi you can get for this price. I tried the crispy crab roll, the spicy crab roll and the shrimp empura roll. I was reserved to come here in the light of the reasonable prices, but the food was good and I have no real complaints. I gave this rating 5 stars because of the quality at price ratio. This is definitely a convenience restaurant for people on a budget who want sushi. The sushi is cheap, but good. My only complaint is that the place is tiny. If you do it, it's good, but for a setting restaurant, not so much. The selection is wide and interesting. I want to try everything."

"LOVE THIS PLACE! My daughter an I have eaten here since it opened. She has grown up eating here. Its part of our little family. We eat here weekly. I've only ordered from the Grant location but it has been delicious, consistent, well priced and friendly from day one. Its been rather impressive how they have upheld consistency as they have. Being a Chef myself, I know that can be difficult to achieve. Very well done!"

"I've only ordered from this restaurant once so far, but I was so impressed that I plan to order again. The highlight was the entree, which was delicious—not overly thick or bland, allowing me to appreciate the distinct flavors of each component. Another great aspect was the ability to select both rice and noodles along with all three protein options; I didn’t have to compromise! "My wife and I spent $44, but when I tried to return my wife's meal—she only tasted a few items and didn't eat any of it—I was informed that refunds weren't allowed. When I insisted, they said the manager would need to handle it, but the manager was unavailable and they couldn’t tell me where he was. I strongly advise against dining here! Save yourself from this experience and consider going somewhere else. The customer service was also inadequate, making the experience even worse."
