"I told my husband that we would be sharing a table as the waitress had indicated, and that it would likely get us served sooner. He agreed that sharing would be fine if it meant we would get our food faster. The waitress assured us she would find a large table and check with any other patrons about sharing.
After this conversation, I went shopping for about 15 minutes, and when I returned, the waitress had given us a table. Since it was raining, my husband asked to switch to a different table, which she allowed. Not long after, someone mistakenly brought our food to us saying it was a to-go order. I clarified that we were dining in. The same waitress insisted she had asked my husband three times whether it was a to-go order, but he insisted they hadn’t. I reminded her of our earlier discussion about the equivalence of to-go and sit-in orders, and our willingness to share a table. She acknowledged there had been a miscommunication on her part.
As we began to eat, the owner came over and insisted that our order was indeed for takeout and that we needed to leave immediately. The prices are exorbitant as well; you can get coffee for $2 elsewhere, while here they charge $4 for the same. If you want to have a pleasant experience, I recommend avoiding Anuenue Cafe at all costs."
