"What bothered me was the older lady's comment about there being no money in my account. I knew I had sufficient funds, but I chose not to say anything at the time. Having worked in customer service for many years, I believe cashiers should ensure they have the correct information before making such statements in front of other customers.
While the food has always been excellent, I feel that when we support our own community businesses, we sometimes receive less than optimal service. A more professional way to handle the situation would have been to say, "Would you like to try another form of payment? This one isn't going through," rather than assuming there was no money in my account. Overall, I found her comment to be unprofessional. I typically go to a different location, and this was my first visit to this one."
