"the food was excellent. the charcuterie board could have been better, but the fillet mignon and seafood pata were very good. nicely cooked! I have no great thoughts about the wein himself. that is beautiful. the sun can get you that we had to move a few times. I wish it were closer. but eating makes it worth it. we hit constantly flying insects. there was a man who plays his media without hearing."

"The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the wines are delicious, and the view is great. The standout feature here is the food platters, which are better than those offered at other wineries in the area. Overall, it was a very enjoyable afternoon. I highly recommend asking for Alison, as she is the best."

Simon, who poured our wines, was fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge about the vineyard and its offerings. I typically don’t order food since they don’t have a full kitchen, but they do have some excellent snacks that pair wonderfully with the wines. I will definitely be coming back."

"We experienced poor service, were overcharged, didn’t receive what we ordered, and felt dismissed by the waitress. My husband and I each tried two spirit tastings, and it took us longer than a couple who were with us that did eight wine tastings. It was obvious we were together, yet we were completely overlooked. We wanted to try more, but the service was so frustrating that we opted for a couple of cocktails and decided to leave. We ordered two Lavender 75s and watched as the bartender made them with just lemon juice, gin, and soda water. When I pointed out that she had made a lemon drop instead of a Lavender 75, she insisted that was how the recipe book said to do it. I explained that it should include lavender simple syrup and champagne, but she just repeated her earlier statement. Then we received the bill, which charged us for seven tastings instead of four. My husband was furious about the whole experience and suggested we not complain so we could just get out of there. We will not be returning!"

"Rustic setting for relaxation. They serve wines in the pavilion, and frozen wine concoctions. The Saturday we were there they had an entertainer playing. It was a pleasant overcast afternoon and we sat outside. There are dogs that belong there and roamfreely, but they are extremely well behaved. Don't bring your own dog, they ask. I'm only visiting, but it's a very relaxingplace. We brought a board game and played. Family friendly venue for an informal time of rest. UPDATE: Responding to the whinycomplaint by the owner for only giving three stars: three stars means I liked it. I said what I said. You certainly didn't wowme with a customer friendly response to my review. Maybe that's indicative of only two stars. There is one communal bathroomthat we saw, an add-on to a building that had three unisex stalls and one common sink. I met a female customer as I exited, andshe seemed a little leery with this setup. For the Fourth of July weekend, there was a featured frozen drink called a Bomb pop,with three flavors of frozen slushy--wild cherry, tropical punch, and blue berry. This made for a patriotic appearance, but thetaste was less than dazzling. I understand part of the recipe is also Kool-Aid. There was one building that I didn't get to gointo. At the door we were redirected to the pavilion."

"Not long after, Justin came down to meet us with a welcoming handshake. He asked if we preferred to taste indoors or outdoors, and Lisa opted for the charming picnic table outside. Our tasting took place beneath a magnificent old tree that offered dappled shade from the sun, enhanced by a gentle, refreshing breeze. Justin poured us our first glass: a Chardonnay. Typically, I’m not a big fan of Chardonnay, but Truchard's version was delightful. He explained everything about our first pour, and it lived up to his words. Next, he served us their Pinot Noir, which Lisa particularly enjoyed. We took a brief walk through the vineyard, where Justin showed us the young grapes that would become this season’s wine. The view at the top was breathtaking, with a pond surrounded by vineyards. There, we tasted the Tempranillo, one of our favorites. As we made our way back down, Justin poured us a Zinfandel; it was Lisa's least favorite, but I thought it would pair nicely with barbecued meals in the summer. He then went inside to fetch us some Merlot. We took our glasses inside the wine cave, a cool 58 degrees, where the aroma of oak from the barrels filled the air. This turned out to be my favorite part of the tour. Afterward, we returned to our picnic table for our last pour, which was a Cabernet Sauvignon that was truly excellent. Justin was laid-back yet incredibly knowledgeable about wine. There was no pressure to join the wine club, which we appreciated. He was personable, someone I could easily bring my son to meet or have lunch with my family. I liked hearing him share his love for his girlfriend, which added a nice touch to our experience. We ended up joining the wine club because we loved the wines so much and were enchanted by the beautiful vineyards, caves, and Truchard’s home right next to the winery. A lovely bonus was getting to thank Jo Ann Truchard as we were leaving; she was warm and welcoming, with a big smile. As I write this review, I’m enjoying some Truchard Cabernet Franc, which is also incredible—so smooth and flavorful, with a pleasant hint of oak from the barrel. Thank you, Justin and Truchard Winery, for creating the perfect day for me and my wife. If I could give you 10 stars, I would, but only 5 are allowed on Google reviews!"
