"My biggest complaint is that they didn't have variety of spicy sauces on the table. They had really good Sambal and really good fish sauce, but none of the other tasty fixings other Vietnamese restaurants tend to have in the bay such as the pickled chilis, garlic, and chili oils.I asked for chili oil and they brought us some- so you gotta ask. Wish they had beer too.The host and waiter was a super nice dude.Ordered 3 foods and one ice coffee: with tip $50 -Ban beo, Banh Cuon variety plate, and crab RieuThe crab soup was very good, one of the best I've had in the bay.The Banh beo was good but not worth the price and I've had better Banh beo in Oakland. Highly recommend Da Nang in Oakland. The actual Banh Cuon was good, all the other variety things were okay. Should've just got the entire plate of the Banh Cuon, but mistakenly went with what the reviews recommended.I had only tried mushroom and tofu and shrimp Banh Cuon while in Vietnam, so having meat filled was a treat and delicious.I don't know if I'll go back, since there's so many other Vietnamese places to try in San José, but might get a Banh Cuon to go order here and there :"
