"However, after we left, I realized I had forgotten my handbag on the stand while I was distracted with the little ones. I didn’t even notice until the next day when I was looking for something I needed for work. Panic set in as I thought about all the items I would have to replace, especially the irreplaceable ones. I was already stressed from dealing with a family emergency, and it made matters worse.
I called Culver's, the last place I remembered being, and the lady on the phone asked me to hold while she checked. When she came back to say my handbag was there, I felt an immense sense of relief. You can’t imagine how grateful I was! When I went to pick it up, I had tears in my eyes—not from sadness, but from sheer gratitude.
I’m so thankful for the young man who found my bag. He was the same person who was cleaning our table that night. What an incredible individual! His actions really gave me hope for the future, reminding me that there are still honest and good people in the world.
I wish I could do more to show my appreciation for his kindness and integrity. Times have been tough; as a single mother, losing all my work keys would have been devastating. When I sat in my car afterward, I couldn’t help but shed happy tears, thinking about what a treasure that young man is. He’s my hero, and I’m sure his family is so proud of the person they raised.
