"Small pizza place by Wrigley Field. Pizza is pretty good being we're from New York area and are usually wary of pizza outside our area. Had a ton of specialty pizzas. The person working was friendly and answered all our questions. The cheesesteak pizza was my favorite! Mac and cheese pizza also had a good amount of cheese which made it better than other places I've had Mac and cheese pizza at."

"While staying at the Embassy Suits up the road I looking for a convenience store to pick up some contact solution. I figured I'd find something in walking distance so off I went! Well, I didn't luck out with that but I stumbled upon this awesome deli. I ordered a simple sandwich for dinner and it was perfect; exactly what I was looking for. The neatest part was that the staff thanked me by name as I left. Sure, they asked for it when I placed the order, but I was so enamored that they provided such sincere customer service. 10/10, so glad I stumbled on this shop on foot because I probably would have missed if I were driving."

Since this new owner it's gone down hill as he doesn't care about his customers or employees. I'm bot sorry either, whenever this owner is, is very disrespectful, rude, and should not be the owner. And you can delete my review but this is nothing but facts, the Ownerr OF ISLANDS PIZZA IS DISRESPECTFUL ASF TO CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES and gets way to intoxicated at the bar instead of getting to know his locals. "I love the Buckeye Tavern. I have given it less stars in the past but for the LV, it is a gem. Mr.Bender put in the work. And that 's what the hospitality business needs a dedicated owner that truly cares about his clientele. I sit down immediately am greeted by PATRONS that I 've known for over 20 years have been coming to the Buckeye for years, themselves. I talked to them for 15 minutes at least. Now me, I live all over the place Miami, PHL, and other major metropolitan areas. Walking in here made me feel at 'home. ' Thank you to all the staff, from the hostess to the janitor. The bartender (not sure the name) is at the top of her game. She is amazing. $20 tips for anyone that is friendly, courteous, and not pretentious. Love love love the BUCKEYE TAVERN. "error rate up to 80% started with a 75% error rate, went to 80% and then to 85% error rate in errors made to my pickup orders last year. I originally never checked my orders, but every time I came home, I noticed something was missing. I accuse myself not to check before leaving, but how hard is it to get a simple wing / rider / nachos order right? missing fires, false wing sauce, forget carrots / ranch dressing, 2 orders of boneless instead of one and one, failing to give me reward points, adding things to my order that I did not want, etc. seriously, how uncompetent can these people be? I have even stopped ordering online because of the mistakes and ordering only in person now, but still they do. I have recently been informed that another regional manager has taken over so that hopefully the dinge will improve (they cannot get worse). below are the updates since my original review:Update 8/14/22. like the clockwork they forget the ultimate afteros with my order, but for the luck this time I checked. error rate now at 80%Update: 9/11/22. this time my big pommes were missing. now error rate at 85% omt, 3 bites for 40 wings and 3 pieces celery. platz is the worst update: 10/2/22. It could be that they finally learned. my order was perfect with all the things I ordered, including. Maybe it's a sign of things to come. we just need to see the worst management ever!"

"As for the side of sausage, what I received was a slice of pizza topped with sausage and onion—because apparently, the idea of a simple side of sausage is too complicated. Plus, it was cold. The two slices of plain pizza were chillingly cold, like they had just come out of the fridge. The shrimp scampi entrée looked promising, but instead of the advertised Jumbo Tiger Shrimp, I got 41/50 shrimp, which are far from jumbo size. There were only five shrimp in total, making them quite tiny. The side salad was actually better than the chef salad, featuring lettuce, three slices of roasted red peppers, and dressing. It was a small improvement, but at least it was something. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for $6, which is simply that—just the sandwich, with no fries included. In the past, they’ve served it with fries. We also had two soups, which were decent, but overall, that was it. I can't help but think you’d be better off dining in person, as they might pay more attention to your order rather than messing it up for takeout. When I placed my order, I noticed that the Uber Eats driver arrived as soon as they accepted it. They told him that the food was ready or almost done, but he ended up waiting over 30 minutes for them to "cook" everything. I felt sorry for him and tipped him $20 just for waiting. Apparently, the pizza had been sitting in a box when he arrived, resulting in a long wait and a chilly pizza. My advice? Don’t eat here unless you plan on dining in. My last three takeout orders have been awful."

"I have ordered here many times over the last three years for a gaming night every week. The variety of the menu was wide enough that everyone could usually find something to order but no more. They have jacked up the prices, lowered the portions and seemto be indifferent to food quality. The cod platter is one piece of fish, some half cooked fries and a small portion cup of wetslaw for 8.00. They seem to have adopted the policy of many failed campus eateries of the cheapest possible ingredients combinedwith the smallest portions they can get away with, served with indifference. I have lived and worked on campus for years andhave seen many places come and go. "The size of the boneless wings were noticeably much smaller than previously experienced at other locations. We informed our server that the carrots and celery were missing. Never saw the server again until the end. When we told him again and he just laughed and said shall I get them now and box them up, only joking . No apology or anything. Really poor customer services. He seemed more interested in chatting and laughing with other members of staff. Not very professional. "This is my go to place for pizza and subs, not to mention other great foods such as open face turkey platters and wings. I began working in pizza shops about 25 years ago and am pretty picky about these things. Their pizza is really good, love their cheese steak subs and the chicken parmesan subs too! Note they use grilled chicken breast for the chic parm sub which I thought I would like (over the usual fried chicken breast) but it has became a favorite of mine. They take 30-45 minutes usually, even when busy which is fine. Food is always hot when it arrives. Service is great. After my third time ordering I was greeted by name. You may see some bad reviews but notice they many are from people who order though places like grub hub which doesn't make sense since they deliver. Also, keep in mind, my experience is people who don't tip well wont get the fastest service (this is normal and acceptable to me). I would highly recommend and when family visits they all love it too. Great salads also!"
