"The dining area is quite compact, with only five tables and about six seats at the sushi bar. When we visited on Friday at 6 PM, every table was booked, and we were fortunate to find a spot at the bar, as the host was turning away others. Interestingly, the restaurant filled up quickly with many families with young children, which was a bit unusual and slightly disrupted the serene ambiance one might expect on a cold January night. Nonetheless, the service was wonderful. The host, waitress, and sushi chefs were all attentive and friendly. I ordered a green salad, miso soup, several pieces of salmon nigiri, and slices of yellowtail sashimi. The freshly brewed green tea I had was excellent. My son chose the Party of Three option, which includes ten assorted sushi pieces, three rolls, and either soup or salad. While I prefer the sushi and sashimi to the rolls, everything was delicious. My son, who isn’t typically a salad fan, enjoyed snatching some of my salad – the dressing was that good! We both would have loved a second bowl of miso soup but were trying to exercise some restraint. The restaurant is so small that the restroom is shared with other businesses in the shopping center, requiring diners to step outside. I always politely request to wash my hands at the small sink near the entrance, and they have kindly accommodated my request every time. I hope this is a common practice and that I’m not seen as overly demanding. The decor features light woods, soothing colors, plants, and calming music, creating a lovely dining experience. Overall, I found the ambiance to be much better than the Sasabune on Wilshire in Brentwood."
