"I recently tried the chicken trio tacos with black beans and rice after a recommendation from an online gaming friend from Arkansas (we're native New Yorkers). We placed a walk-in order, and since I'm not fluent in Spanish, I let my son handle the ordering while I skimmed the menu later for this review. We ended up ordering both the chicken and steak taco trios. I didn’t take a photo of the steak tacos, but visually they were quite similar—just a different type of meat. The food was flavorful, especially after adding some freshly squeezed lime and the green sauce that came with the meals. The meat was chopped very finely, so the lime and sauce helped to add moisture. My only criticism is that the meat was slightly dry, which may have been due to the quick turnaround time from when we ordered to when we received our meal, possibly indicating it was pre-made and kept warm. I appreciated the blend of seasonings used, particularly the strong presence of cilantro in the meat filling, though my son picked those out of his steak tacos. The black beans and rice were also quite good. We opted for takeout, but I noticed they offer a variety of bottled drinks, all produced by the Mexican Coca-Cola factory in glass bottles with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. The restaurant itself was well-maintained and clean, with whimsical decorations featuring a string of Patron tequila bottles up front. I recommend checking the menu beforehand, as no substitutions are allowed; what you order is what you get. They serve corn tortillas, and if you have a cilantro allergy, be aware that it cannot be removed since it’s a key ingredient in their seasoning. Overall, if you're looking for authentic Mexican street food, this is definitely a place to visit."

"It’s exceptional to be able to enjoy great Mexican food while dining in the fresh open air and still being indoors. I think it’s fantastic how the glass front of Pajarito that opens up. There are two rows of tables that can directly enjoy the experience. My waitress suggested the Potato Sopes – and it was really very good. I was trying to decipher its ingredients by examining it with my fork. It presents beautifully and is made with Chorizo and bean, topped with fantastic, pickled onion, goat cheese, and loads of fresh herbs. They also have the Mexican basics down – the chips, salsa, and guacamole are good. They grilled the shrimp in the Shrimp Tacos for me instead of frying them – which I greatly prefer. So nice! The accompanying Mango Pico de Gallo is fresh and an ideal complement to the Honey-Chipotle Aioli. It arrived with a red cabbage slaw – which is unusual and good.I could order the Paperplane Cocktail even though it wasn’t listed on the menu. They were happy to either replace the alcohol or use one-half of the usual for me. It’s a delightful combination of bitters, Aperol, Amaro, lemon juice, and a little burst of Bourbon. I’ll definitely order both the Potato Sopes and Paperplane Cocktail again.I checked out the room downstairs. It will be filled on Cinco De Mayo with live music – which sounds super fun! This area has its own bartender, and I may consider booking it later for a private birthday party. The staff is exceptional all around. They are remarkably accommodating. Parking is available in the ramp next to Lunds Byerlys or in the surrounding neighborhood if you are up for a walk."
