"I was on my way home from the dog park and craving spring rolls. I 've never been here before, but this place was rated pretty well on Yelp and listed as Vietnamese and Chinese. While waiting for my order, I requested some fish sauce. She told me it was $2. I clarified, and she repeated that it WAS $2 for a side of fish sauce. Maybe this is the best fish sauce ever made, or it comes from the embryo of the Baluga caviar, but wow: it WILL be $2 for me when it 's sitting out on the table. I was stunned. Maybe she thought it was for a Gallon? So, I had some amazing spring rolls at Dot Tea the other day, and quite possibly the best Thai Sweet Chile dipping sauces I 've had, my expectations were high. All I can say is blecchh. The errors and spring rolls were Mediocre at best, but what really stood out were the dipping sauces. By standing out, I mean disgusting. I grew up poor and one time remember having spaghetti, but no sauce. I decided to make my own and took a can of tomato soup that I mixed with Hunt 's ketchup. Even for a 7-year-old, it was disgusting. The sauce for the spring rolls tasted like this, only as if it had been left out for 2 weeks. Eggrolls are mushy in the middle, filled with grease and tasteless. The spring rolls are thick, but the shrimp is stale/flavorless. The peanut sauce is one of the worst I 've had. All in all, I have no idea how this place is still in business. Bit I now know why there was no-one in the restaurant at 7PM on a Thursday. I will never return here and will probably shudder each time I drive by. Needless to say, I 'm glad I didn 't get the fish sauce."
