"I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant after purchasing a Groupon discount almost a year ago that was about to expire. The first thing I noticed was the extensive menu with plenty of choices at reasonable prices. I noticed a Black woman waiting for her order and asked her about the food. She assured me that I couldn't go wrong and listed many items she had tried. She mentioned that there are two types of women who buy takeout: those who can't cook and those who can cook, and the quality and taste of the food exceed their high expectations. When I asked her which category she fell into, she replied, "I'm from Arkansas, we COOK!" We shared a good laugh before I decided to order the jambalaya plate (my go-to) and the catfish plate. Despite the jambalaya not being as wet as I prefer, it was still moist and spicy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The catfish was well-seasoned, although I prefer larger pieces. Overall, I am glad that I finally visited this hidden gem of a restaurant and I highly recommend it. The staff will treat you like family."
