"He ordered a small pizza while I opted for the antipasto salad. The menu offered an incredible variety, and everything looked amazing, but we were short on time. I noticed tamarind juice on the menu, something I had never seen at a restaurant before (my mom always made it for me as a kid), so I decided to order it. Unfortunately, the waitress informed me that they hadn’t prepared it yet, but she had passion fruit juice available instead, which I accepted.
When our food arrived, it was delicious. To my surprise, our wonderful waitress, Nicole, came back with a glass of fresh tamarind juice! She had rushed to make it for me. Nicole is such an amazing server! Having been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I know how rare it is to find such excellent service these days.
If you’re ever in South Norwalk and craving great food with phenomenal service, I highly recommend Slice of Italy. And if you’re lucky, Nicole might be there to take care of you!"
