"Every few months, I find myself longing for the Ike's in Redwood City and think about trying the Polk St location. However, each time I do, something goes awry with my order, and after a few months, I end up giving them another chance, only to be disappointed again. This time was no different.
I ordered a vegetarian sandwich with everything except tomato and with fake bacon added. After getting home and having to "operate" on my sandwich, I decided to call the restaurant to report the numerous mistakes. The manager informed me that not only had they messed up my order, but they had also prepared the wrong sandwich entirely, using real meat instead of the fake bacon I requested.
While I appreciate that he refunded my order and offered me a complimentary sandwich, I’ve learned my lesson. I doubt the free sandwich would be made correctly either. Whatever it was that I used to love about the Ike's franchise, this location just doesn’t have it."
