"They advertise Chow Mein, which literally translates to "fried noodles" in Chinese (炒面 Chǎomiàn). However, they prepare it without any noodles at all! Instead, it consists mainly of bean sprouts and vegetables, with only a mediocre amount of pork. I called to politely express my concern, but they insisted that only Lo Mein contains noodles. I tried to explain that Lo Mein features thin, moist noodles along with lots of vegetables and sauce, whereas Chow Mein is made with thicker, golden noodles and has less sauce, more protein, and fewer vegetables. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t take my words to heart. I mentioned that I am a cook and have lived in Hong Kong, so I know what I’m talking about, but the employee still felt I was completely mistaken. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues with this restaurant misinterpreting Chinese cuisine. My replacement meal was Peanut Butter Chicken, but the cook forgot to include the peanut butter sauce! What a disappointment."
