"I found this restaurant on line, read the reviews and decided to try it. Loved it! Friday night, not too full, tables nicely spaced so we could have a conversation and not have to rub elbows with other patrons, comfortable chairs, warm wood decor. Service was friendly and genuine, but the food! oh yes! I ordered the Prawns in garlic appetizer, was succulent and tasty, served piping hot. My husband ordered the Prix Fixed menu, which included Tomato soup, large dollop of cream adorning a rich, creamy serving. He had the top sirloin with frites, cooked exactly as requested, and I had the salmon with a tomato glaze, fresh green beans and rice. Parts of the salmon were a bit overcooked, but overall, it was a generous portion and tender. The desert included for my husband was cheese cake served with maple syrup ladled over it. Looked delicious. (I am not a cheesecake person, I would have ordered the Creme Brule option). there were a few items on the menu that were not available, the duck for one, which from my on line search was one of the reasons that tempted me to try Soup Opera, as my husband loves duck and it is not available at all establishments, but he was satisfied with the alternative. Coffee was good, robust, fresh and steaming. Loved the atmosphere, the staff and more important, the food. I would definitely return. Meal with one beer $110 + tip."
