"I can no longer support this business due to the female owners refusal to treat me the same as she treats other guests. I happen to be a black male and have gone to this business numerous times over the years and each time the female owner refuses to say thank you to me or hand me my order like she does every other non-black person. Today was no different as she pleasantly said thank you, tied the to-go order, and handed it to a white woman, an Indian man, and an Asian man before me. I’m not making this up! I was 99% sure when it was my turn she would do her usual and of course she did what she always does. No eye contact, didn’t tie my food like everyone else, didn’t hand it to me, but pushed it on the table towards me, and of course no thank you like she had given the 3 customers before me. It’s definitely her own issue, and something I hope to one day have a conversation with her about, but it is what it is. Sad, but not uncommon at all. Fortunately, the male owner of the business has always been super polite and is great. The female can be great as well when she chooses to be as I’ve seen it over and over again for other non-black guests. She just chooses not to give the same level of customer service to blacks or maybe it’s just me! : Rather than get upset, I just pray for her and hope her male business partner or husband can show her how it’s possible to still be polite to all guests and treat them all the same even if you don’t like the color of their skin. I’ll give her this, at least she’s being honest and real. She clearly has an issue with blacks and she is not afraid to show it. One has to find an appreciation for this type of racism. It’s in your face and not hidden. The next time your’er in, maybe ask her why she refuses to say thank you to blacks. Maybe there’s a good reason?? When I asked her today, her response was “my male partner already did!” Really!?! Wow! That one took me for a loop as both of them say thank you to EVERY customer, but when it came to the lone black person she clammed up. Again, not a huge deal. Her issues with racism are her issues and it can’t feel good to live life hating a whole group of people so I just feel sorry for her. Common courtesy and respect for all is a good feeling that she’s just missing out on. One love people!"

"Soon after, a man came in and placed his order, followed by a couple who picked up their pre-ordered meals. Then another man entered and ordered, and shortly after, two other men did the same. About ten minutes passed, and I watched the first two men behind me receive their food and leave. I started to get concerned, so I asked the girl at the register to check on my order since they had arrived after me. She looked confused and said that those customers had placed their orders ahead of time. I pointed out that I had seen them order after me. Then the two men who had entered together received their meals and sat down to eat, while the cashier disappeared into the kitchen. At this point, I had been waiting for about 25 minutes. A woman came from the kitchen and told me that my order wasn’t ready because she had forgotten to add the Italian sausage and thought it would be better to cook it instead of serving it raw. I expressed my frustration that I wished someone would have informed me of this earlier, and she insisted that she was explaining it now and apologizing. I wanted to mention that I only received an explanation after I inquired about my order, but I held back my comments and simply mentioned that I had expected my pasta special to be nearly ready. She replied that everything is cooked fresh as ordered, prompting me to ask if that meant my husband’s sandwich had been sitting around. The cashier’s eyes suggested that it had. I told them this was my first visit, and I probably wouldn't return. To my shock, the woman grilling at the front counter responded loudly with "GOOD" so that everyone heard. I then asked the cashier for a refund, and she promptly gave it to me. I can’t believe a business would respond with such arrogance to a customer deciding to leave due to their mistake. I certainly will not support them again. Additionally, I observed the woman at the grill answering the phone with her gloved hand—the same hand the cashier had used to handle money. She then picked up slices of cheese with that same gloved hand to place on the steak she was grilling. To top it off, she coughed twice over the food without covering her mouth. This is another reason I won’t return, and it’s not solely because of her earlier remark. I was just appalled by what I witnessed."
