"the nest raves over pho viet’s bo kho aka vietnamese bark soup. He tried to dine me personally and we finally managed to do it. it was really busy during lunch, but we have a place outside. I wanted to try exactly how he eats it, so I've got it with noodles. he says everything from broth to tender meat is good. I make this home and also my mother does so that I already compare something. it comes with egg noodles, meat a few pieces of carrots and a side of pear sprig, sprig from Thai basilikum and a lemon wedge. the broth was on the sweeter and lighter side than I am used to. Typically, this is a thicker one-pot that they dive with French brot. it wasn't bad, but not what I expected. the meat cuts vary some were super fat and others were totally slim. I felt the lean pieces were too dry for me, it needs more mumbling. When I was done, I had to break out the flops right away. the carrots were well cooked, not super hard or soft, but I wish there were more. Overall, I would give it a 3 5 because I would eat it again, but I personally would not get out of my way for it."
