"The staff at Village Pizza seem to have been selected for their lack of smiles. From the moment I walked in, there was no sense of welcome or good service. Despite being the only customer, I felt like I was bothering the staff when I asked about the price of a slice of pizza. When I requested tap water with my order, I was informed that bottled water was the only option available, which I try to avoid due to environmental concerns. I was given a plastic cup and told to fill it up myself at the bathroom faucet, or, after some hesitation, the staff member reluctantly filled it up for me at the kitchen faucet. Instead of bringing my slice to the table, I had to pick it up from the counter. The pizza was tasty but not very warm, so I asked for it to be reheated. Unfortunately, it came back at the same lukewarm temperature. As I was leaving, I realized that I had not been provided with a receipt, which seemed odd. After a short wait, the unfriendly staff member finally printed one out for me. On my way home, I called a friend to share my disappointing experience, only to find out that she had a similar encounter at Village Pizza. Despite the tasty pizza, my overall experience at Village Pizza was so unpleasant from start to finish that I have no intention of returning."
