"Ordered the sweet and sour pork and the pon pon chicken combos. The sweet and sour pork is NOT as advertised. We have been looking for hong Kong style (sauted with sauce, peppers and pineapple) and this was those dog food nuggets with no peppers at all- the photo on this shows Hong Kong style. The pon pon chicken was dry. Fried rice, egg rolls and soup were good. Cream cheese wontons and honey walnut shrimp were mediocre. Was really hoping to find a new spot, but unfortunately it was underwhelming and overpriced."

"New FAVORITE SPOT!!!! We’ve been living here for five years, and I just discovered this amazing restaurant! I’ve been on the lookout for great Chinese food, and the Mandarin Spot really delivers. So far, it's the BEST I’ve had. We love soups, and this restaurant offers the most flavorful soups I’ve come across. Everything tastes great, the prices are reasonable, and everything is freshly prepared. The Mandarin House has gained a new loyal customer, and I’m quite particular about food quality. "the young man was rude when we had ordered. we should have been going at this time, but we hope it would be good despite the bad service. we ordered two lunch specialists. a lunch special of sweet and sour bun with white rice and a lunch special of general tso huhn with roasted rice. we also ordered a sidepan fried noodles without meat or vegetables. our total came to $27, were shocked by the price, as the online menu said $7 lunch specials. we have paid and waited. we picked up our food. the bag was much bigger than our order should be if they were midday specialist. we told the guy we ordered lunch when we saw the size of the bag. the hired man didn't even answer. we are back to our office and have opened container. the baked noodles had vegetables and meat, and most of the noodles were not cooked. the general tso huh was kung pao, although the type at the switch perfectly spoke English. the kung pao huh was tasteless. the sweet and acidic chicken was overboiled, the sauce tasted like vinegar and the white rice was dry and chewing. the fried rice was overcooked and tasteless. our experience was really terrible from beginning to end. exalted, terrible service and terrible eating. I would give it 0 stars if I could."

"Not sure if I tried the restaurant on an off day, but the food here was bland, flavorless, and watery. I was excited based on the recent positive reviews to order take out, but was tremendously unsatisfied. Our family tried both a dinner combo in the Orange Chicken and Sesame Seed Chicken. The portions are pretty small for the Orange Chicken, but beyond that the flavors weren't robust as expected. The Sesame Seed Chicken came with broccoli which felt like it was all swimming in a broth. But there was no season in sight, not even salt. We added two chicken rolls to our order which were mediocre at best. Unfortunately, the food wasn't a hit for us but the customer service was great and friendly."
