"There is something different about this place and that is precisely what I was looking for. First thing I noticed was that the food here tastes more home style and isn 't nearly as salty as typical Chinese take out in the area. This makes the dishes more flavorful for me. They also have a variety of different dishes on the menu and which I haven 't seen at other places. The cooking style here is unique and decidedly sincere. My wife 's vegetable lo mein was garlicky and flavorful, which she liked. My subgum wonton dish was delicious and plentiful. I feel like the cooking style here is less greasy and oily too. In an area where Chinese take out is largely homogenous, Oriental Express really stands out as being distinctive! If you are lookng for a Chinese take out that does things their own way and is refreshingly different, this place may be for you. I ordered two times before posting this review, and each time the food was consistent and high quality. I 'll definitely be back to try their other dishes."

"I was given the incorrect and poorly prepared order by a woman at the restaurant. When I reported the mistake to Grubhub, she proceeded to spam my phone, questioning why I did so. The food was mediocre at best, and the only reason we ordered was for the convenience of fast food. Additionally, they felt it was acceptable to obtain my contact information from my Grubhub order and contact me from their personal numbers. This behavior was extremely unprofessional."

"New in the area, first visit here. Is updated when things change. I made the choice. Egg Foo Yung without onions because I have an allergy. Many places refuse this order. Jade Lee did it and did it well. Average number of shrimps. Beautiful thick engraving with good taste. Also ordered a small Chix w Veggies. It was huge! Ingredients tasted fresh. Also contain at least one POUND of rice, properly cooked, sticky, not dry as many other places. (Dry rice can easily asphyxiate a person, I was there. All the remains were great, even 2 days later. Will definitely be a frequent customer."

"The fried tofu (menu item 115) was excellent—definitely a must-try! The crispy tofu is delightful. The service was good as well. However, the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t quite what I expected. I was imagining something like the orange chicken from Panda Express, but the sauce here was more watery. On the positive side, they provide free rice with each dish. For takeout, they serve the sauce and fried food separately (the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t included in the photo)."

"DO NOT EAT HERE! I write this review as my fiancé and I are both suffering from food poisoning as a result of eating here. I submitted a food safety complaint through PA’s health inspection site. Unless you want constant vomiting and diarrhea, don’t eat here! Would rate ZERO stars if I could! We had chicken and broccoli with rice as well as mushroom and broccoli with rice. It seems from the most recent reviews on Google that this establishment has been having some food complaints from many reviewers. Next time when I eat somewhere new, I will be sure to check reviews. ‍"

"BE CAREFUL!!! I usually order with my husband from this spot and the food is always quick to arrive, but when we ordered yesterday the food came within five mins of us ordering. Usually we find this amazing but I should’ve seen it was a red flag. I got the worst food poisoning of my life!! I ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice. The meal came with what looked like pieces of chicken skin covered in the sauce. I stopped eating once I noticed and not even an hour or two later I got so sick. Not going to go into details but I had all the symptoms of food poisoning. Will never be ordering from here again! Food: 1"

"We visited the restaurant right as it opened on Sunday morning. Our meal was served quickly and was excellent. The women at the front were friendly and expressed their appreciation for our business. The prices are a bit high, but that seems to be the case everywhere these days. I would definitely return."
