"The food is good, but the packing is where my issue is. I always order the same thing (broccoli chicken combination), and I?m always concerned about the juices for the meal spilling out in the bag. This particular time the entire container fell apart and I decided to call back and inform them. They insisted the packing was perfect and would not remake the meal. That?s very upsetting and disappointing. I can?t continue to spend money here if they don?t honor their product quality. So this is the last time I support this business. Oh, and no this was not my doing. Everything in the bag was sitting flat, nor was it stabilized with cardboard. All of the meals had spillage. This was just the worst one. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED for spending nearly $40 on dinner."

"This was my first time ordering from here. I waited 90 minutes and the food was cold! I called them, and they said they brought it as soon as it was cooked, but I only live a few blocks away, so there's no way it got cold on the way. I heated my food up in a pan, hoping it would taste better than if I microwaved it nope! Food wasn't good either. Would not recommend or return to this business."

"I have lived in Toms River my whole life and have tried every Chinese restaurant in the area, but this place is definitely the best. I have never written a review before, but I believe they deserve more recognition. My go-to order is General Tso's chicken with lo mein and steamed dumplings on the side, which I believe is the best I have ever had. Even my girlfriend, who used to dislike Chinese food, fell in love with the sweet and sour chicken from this place and now asks for it for every cheat meal. Today, I decided to try something new and ordered the shrimp dumplings and Kung Pao chicken, both of which were amazing. This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Toms River!"

"First time trying crustaceans and unfortunately we won?t be going back. We went to Midlothian but isn?t even willing to go to any other location. We ordered a seafood bag and advised the waitress to take out the sausage since the only option was pork, the waitress then informed us everything is cooked all together meaning the corn, seafood, sausage and potatoes all in 1 pot so taking out the sausage wouldn?t help if you?re allergic to pork. For this reason my boyfriend didn?t order a bag but I still did and it was horrible! Food was luke warm, garlic butter was water with alot of minced garlic, seasoning you couldn?t even taste because it was watered down. Nice sized seafood but nothing in the bag had taste not even the potatoes and corn just tasted like garlic water. We spent a total of $60 just for my bag and his fried shrimp meal he had to end up getting that was just as bad because instead of real shrimp these were out of a box with no added seasoning. This place is trash!!"

"I have a deadly food allergy and asked that they omit the sauce on my dish, then I could just use soy sauce. Unfortunately, they decided that they can 't do that and sent the food without calling me and I was unable to eat it. When I called, the woman argued with me about how they refuse to make it the way I had asked (which all other Chinese food restaurants have done for me). I told them that this can actually kill people when they do not take allergies seriously and her response was okay . I will never order from this restaurant again and advise all others not to either. This is a huge safety issue and unacceptable behavior displayed by the staff."

"I've been coming to this restaurant for two years, and I absolutely love it! Ironically, my first experience wasn't great, but I think it was just that I didn't like the specific dish I ordered. I decided to give it another try, and now I'm a big fan! The only thing I would mention is that the egg drop soup can be hit or miss. Most of the time it's delicious, but occasionally it has an odd taste. Regardless, I still highly recommend this place! The egg rolls and vegetable rolls are fantastic!"

"Good Chinese food. Awful fortune cookie company. I 've gotten fortunes like I 'm asleep, come back later and belief in the status quo? Nah that 's not you. What?! "I tried something new at Taste of China, the pepper chicken with onion. I thought it would be like the black pepper chicken I usually get, but it turned out to be strips of chicken with green pepper and onions. It wasn't spicy, but it was still delicious! I rarely ever have a bad experience with any dish from Taste of China."
