"My wife and I have been coming here for years. We usually have sushi, but the last couple of times we 've had entrees. We went on January 1. It 's like the life and any standard or professionalism had been sucked right out of this place. The hostess could not have been more more dressed down, even down to the moccasin style slippers she was wearing. She would even drag her feet when she walked. There were two young male waiters. Both were dressed, complete with baseball-style caps, like they worked at Jiffy Lube. Not that our waiter was rude, but he didn 't exude any personality, he was just an order taker. Of course we were met with what apparently has become the perfunctory greeting of How are you guys? Can I get you guys something to drink? Personally, when I 'm with my wife, I 'd much prefer to hear folks and not guys. We ordered drinks, soup, and egg rolls. Everything was out and on the table in less than five minutes. Our two entrees were out about three minutes later. That was quick, but to me it raises questions if the dishes were made to order or simply premade and warmed? Even the music they had playing on the sound system sounded like it could be Christian music. I never understood why a restaurant that serves ethnic foods doesn 't have music playing that is representative of the region the food is from. When we were in our car and leaving, my wife remarked that if we never came back to Hunan Palace it would be okay with her. Such a shame."

"This place was referred by a super friendly cashier at Smith's (Lehi named Travis thanks Travis!! We finally made it to this place tonight. We gravitated towards the Bento Box section of the menu, as it gave us a lot of options to try a handful of entrees. For dinner prices it was excellent too! We had: General Tso chicken, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, Lo mein, Ham fried rice, Mongolian beef, California rolls, and I also had to throw in a separate order of Dragon roll. We were pretty blown away with their Mongolian beef it's seriously the best we have ever eaten. ANYWHERE. The beef is super fresh, and not one piece of fat or grizzle. The flavor was superb! It's prob my most FAV! The general tso and orange chicken were also fantastic you can tell it's made fresh, and it had the right amount of batter to it. Lo mein was also impressive, particularly that they don't put too much cabbage in there (we like more noodles than cabbage! so this was a HIT for us! Most Chinese restaurants have more cabbage than noodles in their Lo Mein, but not here! California roll and dragon roll were as expected and they also had the option of having light soy sauce (aka low sodium also another sign that this place is doing it right. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Walter. He is super personable, kind, relatable, and was just fun to have a conversation with! We gave him some feedback on the food and was super appreciative and just plain GENUINE. He really made you feel that he appreciated us as customers. In addition, our server was super attentive (Elissa or Elizabeth? and had good feedback in regards to the food. Will def come back here and it has become one of our FAVS here in Utah County!"
