"A large portion of the strip mall is closed, and this restaurant is not currently in operation. You'll need to go to their other location at 5285 Shad Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop by for a meal this time, as I was hoping to grab a shawarma on my way to the beach. I hope I can visit next time!"

"website looks like it's from the geocities days. they were up to date and linked door dash and grubhub. eating is subduing. the dishes are literally meat and rice for $15 when they get Greek or halal in the city, they stir from this place overpriced and zero quality or taste a baklava 5$....Large fries feed two but overpriced for 7$. gyros 11$....TL;DR-OVERPRICED and zero quality"

"Waiting nearly an hour and a half for cold food and missing items. When I called Tarboosh to get the status of my delivery they did answer and say the driver was on the way. Waiting an additional 30 mins for the food to arrive cold and missing items. When I called back I was told oh there were other orders out for delivery and I’m 5 miles from the restaurant. It’s cold outside so my food being cold is to be expected. While this is true it is cold if my order was prepared and delivered on time it wouldn’t have been cold. Terrible experience all around. Recommend avoiding this restaurant for a delivery option and instead go in person if that’s what you want."

"This restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. They offer a fantastic selection of beers at reasonable prices. Be sure to ask for Danny or Mel when you visit. The draft options are excellent, and it's worth noting that this is a newly opened establishment, so definitely give it a try. The cheesecake is delicious, and the french fries are outstanding too. They are diligent about maintaining social distancing, and there's plenty of parking available. We will definitely be returning. If the weather is nice, I recommend sitting outside and enjoying it. My wife raved about the calamari, saying it was the best she’s ever had. They have great Stella beer on draft as well. As a vegetarian, I would love to see some veggie burger options on the menu. Let's support this place and help them thrive!"

"I'm not quite sure where to begin, but this restaurant is simply outstanding! The variety of dishes they offer is impressive, and honestly, five stars just doesn't cut it! The Beef Shawarma Cheese Steak was excellent, as was the Chicken Shawarma Cheese Steak. The Chicken Shawarma Plate, prepared in a Middle Eastern style, was also top-notch. The Falafel Sandwich was fantastic, and both the lamb and chicken were superb. The hummus was delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu—everything is fresh, not frozen, and just melts in your mouth! I have to give a special shoutout to Abdulla, who was incredibly helpful in answering my questions about the menu. I will definitely be ordering from here again!"

You are one of the few authentic Middle Eastern restaurants in the city and have many vegan options along with knowledgeable staff that can help you find out what you put in your packaging or bowl. Your Shrak Wrap is vegan and delicious! While the Pita bag contains eggs and is not vegan, one employee who took my order prefers the Shrak Wrap anyway. All their unique pages are free from animal products and their bases. You have over a dozen vegetables, pumpkins and herbs to complete your meal. Finally, their vegan sauces are the tahini, shatta and Dakka sauces. Overall, you have many options to choose as a vegan at Pita-or-Bowl. "You're not going to be wowed by the establishment. You won't be impressed by the faded steel outdoor patio furniture. But the sodas are cold, and the fries are better than average and made to order. Their lunch special comes to under $15 with a tip included, and you get a 12oz drink, a packed Gyro with a meat of your choice and fresh greens, and their generous portion of hot fries. What you will notice are genuine smiles, and a solid work ethic behind the counter. I am always treated well when I walk in, and I always get napkins, a small cup of cold ketchup, and a happy energy from the woman and young man who are holding the fort down. They have decent breakfast sandwiches and shawarma, too!"
