"This place was such a disappointment. I ordered the Chesapeake crabcake sandwich that came with coleslaw and french fries. My guest ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips were pretty good and the crab on my dish was really tasty as well. However, the bun, the lettuce and the tomato that accompanied the dish was just a little too large to go with such delicate crab meat. Another terrible thing about this place unfortunately, is the staff. We had a waitress that was really inattentive and rude. I ordered one beverage and on the menu it said that it had fresh lime juice in it. However, it did not have fresh lime juice. They put roses in it and they overdid it. I informed the waitress that I wasn 't impressed so I sent it back. I ordered another and they muddled the cherries in the bottom of the beverage, which is a big no-no. I also sent that one back. The waitress told us that they are a pooled-house which means waitresses and waiters are supposed to work together meaning that they all can help each table when individual guests need assistance. I think this was her way of saying, why don 't you talk to somebody else. One thing that also really makes this restaurant different than others is that when a customer is unsatisfied with a certain part of a meal or drinks, service or staff, the management should come over to the table and make sure that everything is OK and say, we would love to have you back again, and make sure that your experience is better than this one. So, please don 't allow this first visit to be a reflection upon the rest of our service and commitment to our guests. So I will say this, we will never come back here again."

"We had a weekend full of excitement, dedicating our time to each other. The tortilla soup was outstanding, with perfectly balanced spices and temperature. It was hotter than usual, but just right since we chose to sit outside. The guacamole and chips were fresh, with just the right amount of lime and lemon to enhance the flavors. The chips were crisp and delightful. The tempura shrimp was also fresh, juicy, and flavorful. The aioli sauce that accompanied the shrimp added a spicy kick that enhanced the dish even further. I ordered a drink called "Lavender Escape," which struck a perfect balance—not too strong or too weak—and I could taste all the ingredients. Each dish complemented the next, with precise spices that made everything flow beautifully together. To top it all off, a guitar player was performing 90s hits acapella as we watched the sunset, which truly made the weekend special. Our server, Jacob, was incredibly attentive and dedicated, making sure we had everything we needed. He was genuinely polite and even overly apologetic about small things, though I reassured him that it was completely understandable. This dinner with my sister was truly unforgettable, especially since we don’t get to see each other often. It was a fantastic experience, and I’m grateful to the staff for making it possible. With our busy lives, it’s important to occasionally escape reality and retreat into our own little paradise with the right person. This experience really boosted our spirits!"

"We were hotel guests, and have dined here before. Was good. Very good. It is the Four Seasons after all. This visit the staff were very sympathetic to our quite specific shellfish allergies, however because of the strong seafood theme our menu options were quite limited. No biggie, we are used to that. The Four Seasons! Let's go... So, we saw calamari on the menu. My son's fave! Can we have it deep fried? 'No. Saute only. No deep fry'. Sorry to have asked. OK, we will have 2x racks of lamb. For $45 each we received two mini potatoes, two mini carrots, and two extremely overcooked pieces of broccolini. Oh, and two hockey stick lamb chops. It's official. A rack of lamb is now two chops. Oh! There was bread. My wife had the salmon, but didn't eat it because it was dry and overcooked. Like a phone book.Note: Everything was EXTREMELY salty. Like, kidney stone inducing salty. I gave one of the lamb chops to my daughter because her soup was too salty, and I admitted defeat and gave the other one to my son because we ran out of bread, and the petite broccolini didn't fill him up. I settled for water. And my petite broccolini. I wasn't giving that up for anyoneWe went to Carl's Jr for dessert. Breakfast was oatmeal, a kids buffet, french toast, and multigrain toast (I was actually served wholewheat, with a single teaspoon of butter, no jam, no nothing. I wish I had known, as we make our own berry preserves, and I would have taken a jar. And a sandwich), two coffees, and two juices. $95. What ticked me off was the waiter argued about letting my little girl have the buffet (she is a grazer with a small appetite), and he was (I will say it) rude when my son had trouble verbalizing his order. The first time I dined at a Four Seasons was in Singapore in 1979. That was spectacular. I had Scottish smoked salmon flown in that morning. Donna Summer was the floor show. Live. This place has argumentative wait staff, small servings, and over-seasoned food. I thought I was re-living the "L'Idiot." restaurant scene from LA Story. If you don't know that scene, it isn't good. Not good at all."

"We went for our 5 year anniversary dinner specifically made the reservation for the lounge assuming it would be adult only as they have a restaurant for families. There was one large group with about 8 kids. The kids were running around the lounge no one was watching them the parents were all oblivious. The servers repeatedly apologized to all patrons for the children. It wasn't their fault. The group with all the kids was made up of 4 couples . So 8 adults not one of them was even attempting to correct any children . Overall it was not the romantic evening we had planned. We left our kids at home for a reason. I was very disappointed that a manager didn't address the large group as they were finished eating and ask then to move on or at least keep there kids at the table. I would never allow my children to act like that in public. It really took away from our overall experience. The food was good although I felt a bit over priced for the amount you got to eat. If I'm spending $300 dollars for a meal out with my husband. The over all experience is very important and it just wasn't great. That was our first time at Vons since it moved downtown . I don't think we will go back. To pay for parking and pay that much for a meal and then feel like your at a McDonald's the way all the kids were running around wasn't a great time. So it was our anniversary our reservations were for 6:30pm and we were home by 8:30pm. Not quite the evening out we had planned."
