"We visited Italian Kitchen for the first time tonight. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn't really impress us either. I ordered the chicken francese with linguine, and my husband had the chicken piccata. Both dishes were decent, but they were overly heavy on the sauce, which had a consistency reminiscent of gravy, likely due to a lot of corn starch and flour. If you’re looking for a casual, budget-friendly dinner, this place is fine. However, for truly good Italian food, I would recommend Dario or Skampi Grill instead. I also tried the raspberry lemon martini, but it was pretty underwhelming, especially for $12. The Caesar salad turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The service was average—not very attentive—but the outdoor patio was quite charming and surprisingly bug-free."
