"Absolutely amazing! Spencer's does not disappoint at all. It was a special occasion for us and our fantastic server Eric really helped to make it great. We loved the Millionaire's Bacon starter wonderfully rich and decadent with the sweet onion and date sauce. And, we are SO GLAD that we ordered the bread and butter plate! We have dreamt about the fresh, warm bread and the sweet honey butter with pumpkin seeds. So simple, but so elegant and really delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection and big enough to feed an army. We tried the family style/size sides: Macaroni cheese and au gratin potatoes. Both were creamy, unctuous and very very tasty. The crispy cheese crust on the potatoes was perfection. Both sides were a little heavy on the garlic, not at all a complaint, but worth noting. Also we ordered the Cesar salad which was really made unique by the roasted tomatoes pesto. A very clever addition that I really enjoyed. And dessert! Such fabulous desserts. The flourless chocolate cake was fudgey and perfect with the raspberries and chocolate ice cream. And last but certainly not least was the apple pie with toffee custard. A tasty slice of fall with the best vanilla ice cream. Just a wonderful, lovely dinner!"
