"Solid sushi place that's not too far from my apartment. Nothing fancy or anything that knocked my socks off, but we were satisfied.They get bonus points from me for having a veggie roll on their menu that includes tofu in it (I appreciate being able to get a little protein in a vegetarian roll). Boyfriend was satisfied with his tuna avocado and salmon cucumber rolls (the latter of which was not on the menu but they happily made upon request).Our server was very nice while taking our orders, and refilled our glasses of water many times. We were there on a slightly earlier side for a Saturday evening, so it wasn't too crowded. The dining area is on the small side I can imagine it being quite cramped when full."

"I have been dining at Sakura for 15 years. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The food is prepared in a traditional and meticulous manner, respecting the kitchen. The quality is consistently excellent, reliable, and delicious. I highly recommend Sakura, especially compared to other restaurants in the Merrimack Valley. "My go-to sushi spot in Astoria. Good quality fish and value — got a sashimi bento box for $17 at dinner and it was so much food. They are on seamless too!!"
