"Awful experience! The delivery drivers constantly speed on the sidewalks, almost hitting pedestrians like we’re obstacles. While I was walking my puppy past the restaurant, a careless delivery cyclist nearly ran into him—even though the sidewalk was empty! When I told him to be careful, he shouted and cursed at me. They show zero respect for the community, pets, or women. I will never eat here again; I’d rather support a place that values its customers and neighbors."

"This restaurant is a fantastic choice for those looking to treat themselves! While the service can be a bit inconsistent, I hardly notice the staff after I place my initial order thanks to the all-you-can-eat option. My favorite dish here is the Miso soup; it's been perfected and is incredibly rich and flavorful. The sushi rolls may be standard, but they're served quickly and skillfully crafted. The rice is exceptional as well; they really have a knack for preparing it just right, with a perfect balance of seasoning that pairs wonderfully with the proteins. Although the rice and seafood aren't at the highest level, they are definitely satisfying for the price point. I usually come here about once a month and always leave content. Even though the service might vary, I'm still giving this place 5 stars because it's my go-to for a fulfilling late lunch that allows me to skip dinner!"

"Some of my favorites lean towards the spicier options, including Twice Cooked Pork, Eggplant in Garlic Sauce with Minced Pork, Beef with String Beans, and General Tso's Chicken. Just let them know your spice preference, and they’ll adjust accordingly. I plan to return for dinner to explore their regular menu, and I'll provide an update once I do. On a side note, I recently had lunch here and accidentally left my debit card behind. I realized it a few days later and returned to check, only to find my card was safe and waiting for me after three days. They truly are a gem in the neighborhood, so please support them!"

"Good Hot Sour Soup To me, hot sour soup is to Chinese food what Pad Thai is to Thai food. It is my proverbial canary in a coal mine. Hot Pot Chen does a really good one. The broth is the dark variety and it is super tasty with plenty of nice veggies. The heat level is the same no matter what instructions you give, which is a little hot, but it won't flame you out if that's what you're into. One of my go to dishes is the mu shu vegetables. There's nothing super special about the veggies themselves lots of cabbage, but the hoisin sauce is excellent and the pancakes hold up well under the necessary folding process. I have also had several hot pot dishes and the broth is always comforting and tasty. Some of the chicken based ones can get a bit salty, but there's always plenty of veggies and meat or tofu in there. Middle Kingdom and Kai Garden used to be my #1 and #2 Chinese restaurants in Ann Arbor. They're gone now and Hot Pot Chen is my new #1."
