"However, the food was just okay, which was disappointing given my anticipation for Ben Yay's. I plan to give it another try once they roll out the full menu, hoping it will improve. I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, but the oysters were simply breaded and fried—nothing exceptional to say about that. The deviled egg filling consisted mainly of yolk, lacking flavor, with just a sprinkle of what I assume was paprika that didn’t enhance the taste. The eggs themselves were mediocre, tasting as though they were pre-packaged hard-boiled eggs from a gas station. I really hoped this dish would shine, but it fell flat.
The sausage po' boy was overly salty, and while the fries were well-seasoned, the sandwich was just too much in that regard. Overall, it was passable but not remarkable. The drinks were enjoyable, and it was clear they didn’t skimp on the alcohol, which was a plus.
Given the food didn’t particularly wow me, I probably won’t return. However, the restaurant does have two unisex bathrooms and is situated on Main Street, where you can enjoy a quiet stroll after dinner. There are also other dining options available along Main Street."
