"I absolutely love the Samoset restaurant. The food is usually good, but this time I decided to try their wood fired pizza for the first time. Upon arrival, the hostess instructed us to find our own seats and wait for a server. When a server finally approached us, it was clear she was not pleased when we declined any drinks besides water. I ordered the Margarita pizza and my husband opted for the burger and fries. The pizza was quickly made but then left under a heat lamp for 10 minutes until the burger arrived. Unfortunately, the pizza was soggy, lukewarm, and lacking fresh basil, with only some pesto oil on it. To make matters worse, we were constantly bothered by flies during our meal, which was quite unpleasant. We were eager to pay and leave, but we ended up waiting over 10 minutes at the pizza counter with dirty dishes in front of us after requesting the check. Despite being a generous tipper based on service quality, we felt our server did not value our patronage and only received a standard tip."
