"Short review: Notably awful carpaccio, decent main dish. Alright dessert. Very overpriced. Very pretty. I would first off describe the spot as overpriced and very pretty but it 's in Soho so I 'm not exactly sure what I was expecting but even more so leaning in both directions. A good example is their sour cherry juice which is $10 which is probably the most egregiously overpriced drink in the city. It was most likely Tamek, a brand you can buy for literally 2-3$ in any market and that 's the consumer price (at least they added a lime. Anyway I was here with five others. The service was mostly polite though they took ages to bring out their rather good bread and they didn 't bring out a refill until it was asked twice which is a great idea when a few people wanted to try their spreads. I started off with the Leverek Carpaccio which consisted of Sashimi grade Mediterranean sliced branzino with lemon which was 24$. The dish was tiny and the flavors of the fish were either surprisingly fishy for branzino or overly lemon flavored. Just not good and completely not worth it for the price. I tried the tarama/ the Turkish version of taramosalata/caviar spread which was fine but overpriced (14$ and another person got another one of their dips which was similar. My main dish was better but it was hard to do worse. I ordered the Spicy Beyti which consisted of Chopped grilled lamb on a skewer, wrapped in pita, topped with yogurt and tomato sauce which was 34$. The lamb inside was tasty but a bit chewy but there was a good amount of it. There were faults with the dish outside of the lamb though. I of course was not expecting the price to match the size from most other places but the pita was not that good being a bit hard oddly. They were also kind of skimpy on the sauces. I prefer a stronger spicier tomato sauce but it was mostly yogurt. Overall passable (especially so compared to the appetizer. Another person got the durum kebab sandwich which they liked. I tried one of the fries which was good. Someone got the seafood pasta (which they also liked, and I believe the last two people got the burger and the steak. Oddly they have Sultan 's Delight on the menu which usually refers to one of my favorite Turkish dishes (Hunkar Begendi but in this case it 's a mixed grill which I don 't get either but it definitely that goes along with the confused Turkish hybrid menu. For dessert, I ordered the Apricots which is a traditional Turkish dessert consisting of Organic dried Turkish apricots in thick syrup, stuffed with clotted cream (or kaymak and almond which was 12$. It came with five in an order along with some raspberries which was a nice touch. I have referred them from other places as there really wasn 't enough cream and usually they have hazelnuts instead of almonds but they were still decent and this was the one dish that I didn 't find particularly overpriced. Another person got the profiteroles which were fine. The food here is a good representation of what I find to be wrong with a good amount of spots in Soho. It is overpriced even compared to its peers which both have better food and better service. As someone who absolutely loves Turkish food and Mediterranean food in general, this was a disappointment. At least the chandelier above our heads was pretty. Carpaccio: 0 stars Beyti: 2 stars Dessert: 3 stars 5/15 or 1.7 stars."
