"We have been going here since the early Roar?n 2000s, and every time since, to every Stressgiving, Christmas, pre-New Year and/or out w/ the girlfriends; this is the go-2 restaurant of the O.C., the restaurant that you definitely will not see Tamara Vicky chowing down on or off the cameras, but instead see a bunch of good local folks, the sincere meaning of the La Familia Mexican Restaurant that makes you feel right at home, and right with your wallet, no matter where you are visiting from. Where mi Casa?s can easily accommodate a few patrons in the restaurant or bar to a large party with over 20 and on one long table , to plenty of booth table options for up to 4 people during date night. Kid friendly, even in the bar table seating area, and bar stools for over a dozen drinkers, welcoming and well opened entry, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking well lite , but it does get busy especially during the holidays, where I am assuming they take reservations, but we have always walked-in and got seated immediately after arriving. Then there is the Happy Hour? or just strolling back to the bar w/ no H.H. , where one of the most hardworking waitresses Shasta I have ever witness serving multiple tables at a time, will welcome you, inform us on the deals and give great recommendations on how we can improve our experience and not costing us more, by starting us out right with a few Margarita?s $5 each , Cadillac $6 each and see photos for add?l costs/savings for food and alcohol beverages. The portion servings especially the ?? ? chicken cheese tacos are plenty and my husband of near 300 lbs gets overfilled with all-u-can-serve chips and salsa w/ one not 2 , but 1 ? ? ? served w/the delicious house Refried Beans and Rice, costing under $20 per person in general. On this particular date 1/31/21 , in addition we had order 4 chicken ? cheese ? tacos ?, beans, rice, chips and salsa. To see what I am talking about see photo the tray of tacos is that of 4 tacos. Highly, Highly Recommended for folks in and outside of Orange County that enjoy Great Tasting Mexican Food, AND for a Great Price!!"

"The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa ??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!"

"Honestly....I'm shocked I'm rating this 5 stars. Came here with a friend to watch the Phillies, and as a cocktail bar kind of person whose not big into sports, I had such low expectations. Right away I liked that they were managing the crowd size. It was full but not overly crowded inside. We were the last ones in before they started managing the crowd, and a line quickly formed outside. There was tons of seating inside, but we got there late so stood at the bar. If we get there earlier next time we could definitely get a seat. Service was great and we were easily able to order. We both just got seltzers. The food all around us looked great too, nachos and such...and next time were back we plan on getting some!"

When I returned to the restaurant and explained what had happened with my order and what was wrong with it the manager told me that I was lying and that I had actually left food at home and messed up the rest of the order. "What a amazing hidden gem. The restaurant is located right on a main street in Philly. Its a small yet inviting restaurant. We went there for breakfast and they had a good selection of food , lunch and dinner also sounded appetizing. The food was great as well as the service. Their beverage selection is great. They service amazing traditional and Mexican style coffee. Great Mexican cuisine!"

"Overall the food was average. The burgers were big but you pay a premium for fries. I would prefer if they just raise the price and make french fries the standard. The item included is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed prawns which didn't have much flavor. I could tell I ate prawns and crabs but there wasn't much flavor. The serving consisted of four stuffed prawns. However, the prawns were of the medium variety I would buy at my local market. They were torn apart with a tablespoon-sized crab ball. I had to pay a premium for cheese on my potato. This dish was $ 29 which I was willing to pay but was disappointed when it came out. Or the meal was $ 95 (including a 15% tip). I would also like to add that we all had water to drink. I think the bill was a little too much when two people in my group had a burger. The best thing was to dine outside right on the water. I drove from central Virginia to dine and am not sure if I should do it again. Just because."

"THIS IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD. I ordered the Roasted Beef Burrito, and to my disappointment, the beef had a sweet and sour flavor, accompanied by steamed white rice, no cheese, and very few traditional Mexican spices. The guacamole was overly creamy and tasted strongly of onions, almost as if it had been mixed with French onion dip. I'm not even sure what the sauces were that came on the side, but they definitely didn't resemble any Mexican salsas. At best, the food could be described as Chinese-Mexican fusion. So why not label it that way to set proper expectations for customers? I would have been better off going to Chipotle instead."

"We were two couples who came for a late lunch. We asked for seats somewhere we could talk. The manager gave us a table on the 2nd floor. There were only 2 other tables being used up there. It was perfect for us. The men ordered a house salad, steak, and red beans w smoked ham over rice. They both agreed although the steak was tender, it needed some seasoning. The house salad was good, and the red bean combo had a kick. The women ordered the Caesar salad which was fine. I had the mahi mahi and a large twice baked potato. The fish was a little overdone the potato was fine. The other woman ordered the chicken tampico. It was covered in a sauce and vegetables. She did not say anything. Three of us had 2 Porters, one had a soda.Our server was ok. The bathroom was up another flight of stairs and clean with hot water. We Parked in the city parking lot across the street from the katy trail. There were steps to go up the hill to the Main Street. Not disabled friendly. Our total bill without tip was $180. We will not rush back."

"I saw Sofia’s Kitchen online and also asked someone in the area who said they hadn’t eaten there in awhile but that it used to be good, so we stopped. Sorry we wasted our time on such an unhappy place. I’m deaf and mobility challenged. I read lips to communicate and have a service dog that assists in multiple ways. The staff at Sofia’s wouldn’t lower their masks to explain their arm waving and hostile eyes, and then pointed to the door and waved for us to leave, even with us explaining our situation. Apparently we weren’t welcome because we weren’t wearing a mask as we stepped through the door, though people were sitting without food or masks less than ten feet away from the door. Only the hostile “greeters” were wearing masks. I have never been treated so rudely and with such hostility by a service establishment in my life! They refused us service and pointed out a sign that says “No masks, no service. No debate.” That’s there choice. Mine was to serk lunch elsewhere. I say, “No smiles at Sofia’s Kitchen. No debate.” Honestly, as I glanced around the restaurant I didn’t see even one person smiling though I was.. Surely someone should be enjoying the food enough to have a pleasant smile. No! Seems a good indication that the restaurant had problems. We had no desire to make a scene so quietly left. Want to warn others so they don’t go through this harassment. We were happy to find Los Sombrero (aka El Sombrero) just a few minutes south and across the interstateô overpass. The food and service at Los Sombrero was good and pleasant without any drama. They were very patient and accommodating. A refreshing contrast to Sofia’s! Los Sombrero had a much more authentic New Mexican atmosphere than Sofia’s Kitchen anyway. So, be aware that Sofia’s has a militant attitude and you better not walk in the door with your smile showing. I recommend you look elsewhere."

"I've been coming to this restaurant for a decade now. However, it feels like you need to take out a second mortgage just to afford a couple of tacos these days. In my last three visits, I received the wrong type of tacos, and the staff wasn't particularly helpful in resolving the issue. If you're going to charge $20 for two tacos, rice, beans, and a drink, it's reasonable to expect that your order is correct. When mistakes happen, the staff should be eager to fix them so that customers don't feel uncomfortable about bringing it up. The food here is good, and the atmosphere is pleasant—I'm sure there's nothing on the menu that wouldn't taste great. However, it seems there may have been a change in ownership, or perhaps they are struggling to find quality staff. Considering the prices they are charging, there are definitely better options available that offer both better value and improved service."

"we were hesitant to try this place due to previous reviews, but we tried it on a Tuesday night, hoping that the place was not too busy. our food was fast, it was very tasty and the service was excellent. "we tried border grill recently to see what it was about. the restaurant was clean, a few people were fed in, and the staff welcomed us. we told them we were new and the money explained very helpful how the dinge worked. we chose the gourmet burrito with carnitas, the smokey burrito with huh and two steak tacos with maistortillas. I didn't know I had to order the kind of salsa I wanted with the chips, so until later. that was eating pretty fast and we dig in. the burritos were made generous, wrapped in flour tortillas that had been pressed after the construction to put some crabs in them. were plentiful, and we generally thought the burritos were ok. they didn't knock our socks off, but I couldn't say they were bad. I tried the standard salsa they gave but realized that there had absolutely zero heat, so I asked about their spiciest (fuego that had actually a cumulative heat and was good. overall, it was a good place to eat, and we would come back."

"We had an amazing time at Ludington Pub! The bartenders, Trent and Michelle, were a lot of fun. We played songs on TouchTunes while sipping on cocktails, and they took the time to share all the local attractions in Ludington. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! We can't say enough good things about the food. I took a chance and ordered the PB J Burger, which came with sweet habanero jelly, creamy peanut butter, and crispy bacon on a pretzel roll. It was absolutely delicious and practically melted in my mouth! Although I'm not usually a big fan of peanut butter, I’m so glad I tried it—it was phenomenal! I highly recommend Ludington Pub!"

"on Friday, late afternoon, we thought we were a quick bite and a drink. we sat near the fireplace in a small leather sofa, as the bar area was jammed with happy hour-younger. we had both **** marys. I had the chicken pot and my wife ordered a burger. the chicken pancake was excellent, but my wife hated her burger. we both thought the **** marys were made good and pretty tasty. our server and the entire staff were attentive and efficient, but the loud hooting, screaming and screaming came out of the bar area more than any of us could take. we agree that we would not return. good for children!"
