"The hotel feels quite run-down, and it seems the management has little interest in maintaining its appearance. When I arrived on Wednesday, the floors in the hallways and elevator were dirty, and they remained uncleaned until I left on Sunday. Additionally, the shuttle service failed to pick me up from the airport after I waited for 15 minutes, so I ended up walking and got there before the shuttle departed. However, my biggest concern was the bar. On our first night (there were 5 seniors in my group), it was Karaoke night, and despite having only about four other patrons and just the DJ singing, they refused to lower the volume. The next night, we were a group of 8 seniors, and although it was comedy night, we had no choice but to stay since there were no other dining options. The comedian was not funny; his opening lines were, "Who here is on drugs?" followed by, "Who has cocaine with them?" As we enjoyed our meal and shared a bottle of wine among five of us, along with a cocktail and two soft drinks, we tried to engage in conversation despite the loud show. The comedian even insulted us, referring to us as “C’s.” After paying our bill and ordering a second bottle of wine, we moved to the breakfast area to finish our drinks, only to have the comedian again call us “C’s” as we left. On top of that, one person ordered a second cocktail and instead received Worcestershire sauce over ice instead of a Maker's Mark martini, raising a health and safety concern due to the anchovies in the sauce—which could pose a serious risk to someone with a fish allergy. I wrote a letter to the hotel manager and their corporate office (Sonesta), but I have yet to receive any acknowledgment. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere."
