"This has been one of my favorite sushi spots; I used to visit once or twice a month. Unfortunately, I won't be returning! When I ordered the Dragon Roll, it was nothing but sauce—there was no eel in it. I pointed this out to the waitress, who confirmed my observation. She took it back to the chef/owner, who bluntly said, "That’s as good as it’s going to get!" After years of loyal patronage and generous tips, I’m really disappointed. No surprise that the place is now empty with seats available everywhere. Just a heads up: there’s new management at the location on 14th and Broadway, and the food and service there are both excellent! S. Duke"

"The main reason my rating Isn 't a 5, was because I pointed to my 3yo when the server was looking at me and i told her I would like to get my son the miso ramen. He did not eat it. He said it was spicy, in front of her. She didn 't say anything, just gave me a yeah I know look. So we had to still pay for it, as we didn 't know it wasn 't what we ordered.She put in spicy miso ramen, which I did not know until we went to pay."

"The restaurant offered an impressive variety of dishes at reasonable prices. The only slight disappointment was the takoyaki, which came with just four balls, but they were absolutely delicious! I’m definitely looking forward to returning for the Bay Scallop roll, as it was generously filled with scallops and incredibly flavorful. The portion of fried calamari was quite sizable—enough for one person—and it had a wonderful crunch that was very satisfying. The agedashi tofu was excellent too; I’ll be sure to order that again soon. I’m also curious to try their lunch specials and more of their rolls. I will definitely return!"

"I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant because of all the great reviews. I ordered through UberEats, and the delivery arrived well-packaged with generous portions. I got the incredible roll on a buy-one-get-one-free deal. The food was delicious, until I started choking on something partway through my first roll. At first, I thought it was just a shrimp shell that had been overlooked, but after coughing it up, I discovered it was a broken piece of wire scrubber, over an inch long. I was completely disgusted—how could that end up in my food? I'm also worried because I could have been injured or swallowed more without realizing it. I'm really disappointed because I thought this could be my new favorite sushi spot, but now I'm hesitant to try it again. While this might be a one-time occurrence, I don’t think I can overlook it. I have also reported this issue through UberEats."

"Best tasting sushi in town! Great service and outstanding food! We ordered 7 rolls and they brought out tasty miso soup right away. Only took 10 minutes to bring out a large plate with the spider roll, salmon tempura, Philadelphia, Alaskan, calamari tempura, fire cracker, and Harrison roll. Portion sizes were reasonable and the chicken teriyaki dinner box was larger than I expected. They checked in with us every 10 minutes or so bringing extra napkins and more ginger. Relaxing soft background music and nice atmosphere. Be sure to thank them for working hard to make beautiful, delicious sushi and providing great service!"

"After having this place on my Yelp bookmarks for years, I finally got around to going for my Birthday this year with some friends. The ambiance both inside and outside is great. The outdoor seating area seems very lively and fun. Inside is definitely on the smaller side but it's cozy and very elegantly decorated. We tried the sausage stuffed mushrooms and the fried chicken and cornbread for appetizers and both were excellent but the fried chicken and cornbread was definitely the stand out. It was one of the best appetizers I have ever had at any restaurant. All the flavors just worked so well together and the presentation was very well done. I ordered the filet with scalloped potatoes and the taste was a 5/5. My only issue was that the food wasn't very hot and I like my food piping hot but it was room temperature which was a bit disappointing for such a nice place. Other than that, I have zero complaints. The service was excellent as well. We also tried the butter cake for dessert and it was phenomenal. The best butter cake I've ever had. I highly recommend trying hero ranch at least once!"

"UPDATE: The food is still really good but service is sometimes iffy. If you order online, be prepared to wait longer as sometimes they don't start making it until you get there do to equipment issues. Generally you can go to the drive throughwindow to pick it up and if it isn't ready they will ask you to park in front and they will bring it out to you but you mightneed to go inside to get it anyway, it just depends on who is working that night. Also, make sure to check your bag to makesure you got everything. I usually get sweet and sour chicken bento and half the time the forget the sweet and soursauce. Don't let that put you off, the food is worth it."

"A modern and elegant sushi bar in Las Colinas! The place was super clean and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The waitress and staff were very attentive (filling waiter, closing blinds, etc). And they have a very generous lunch menu, which I love! The miso soup came out first, and it was deliciously salty and savory. The bento box looked beautiful! The bulgogi wasn't too sweet, which I appreciated. I at first was going to go with rice vs. the wasabi mashed potatoes, but thankfully the waitress convinced me to get it. It was amazing! The tempura shrimp and veggies was also light, crunchy, and delicious."

"We saw negative reviews that mentioned wait times and tried to give it a chance anyway. We always take reviews with a grain of salt. Well... we walked in 5min before our open table reservation time. 3 or 4 other parties came in about the same time. Not a single person came to greet ANY of us. Not even a “be right with you” to anyone for over 20 minutes. When someone finally said hello, they had never heard of open table or any reservations and we were going to be put on the regular wait list like everyone else. A woman told us she’d been waiting over 30min to pick up a called-in to go order. It appeared they had 2 servers and 1 hibachi chef during the prime dinner hour. It’s not those employees’ fault that they’re understaffed but letting groups of people stand around without so much as a greeting is unacceptable. I made a reservation specifically because waiting for a table with 2 children is an unwelcomed challenge. I really don’t know if the food is good and I probably never will know because we’ll continue going to the other hibachi place in town."

"Friendly and attentive service, outstanding food quality. Informal decor, bench seating. Formal bar doesn't seem to get much use, but the sushi bar and tables mostly full. Family and birthday party friendly. My only criticism is that the staff needs to learn how to serve wine opened the bottle and poured two glasses before I had a chance to taste it. Despite this, I highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to frequent it."

"I'm so glad I decided to visit this restaurant! The moment you step inside, you immediately feel relaxed and welcomed. The decor and lighting are lovely, and there's a spacious and comfortable bar area along with plenty of tables. There's also a separate section that seems perfect for larger groups. The servers and sushi chefs were fantastic, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. We started with miso soup and the chef's choice sushi appetizer plate— the seared salmon sushi was the highlight! Our server suggested a cold sake served in an ice bucket, and it was absolutely incredible; we really enjoyed it. My favorite roll was the umami roll, which was just amazing! It features spicy tuna, crunchy cucumber, jalapeños, and cilantro, topped with crispy garlic, Japanese mayo, and yuzu sauce. This place not only offers great food but also has a wonderful atmosphere, likely because it's (apparently) owned and run by three brothers. How cool is that?!"

"We were late to our reservation, so we definitely didn't expect to be sat right away. But hostess was so rude, she kept repeating, you know you are late, right We were super apologetic and went to the bar, at the bar manager seemed to be annoyed with us too. We had drinks and went elsewhere. Food is always amazing so bummed we didn't get to enjoy."

"the restaurant was dated and inconspicuous. we sat at a table near the hibachi area, where chairs were stacked against a wall, a exposed, unworking outside window and door stood to the right (and we could feel the cold from the outside) behind us was an unworking soda machine. it was terrible. we went without order. the host tried to sit our party of three on a table that had only two available chairs. When I asked, she said she would add a chair. where? our party would have been split if it would join us on this table. there was another table with four sitting places, but she didn't offer that place while we have a result! They think our seats were reserved, but that wasn't the case. When our server finally came out, he did not make any eye contact, did not greet us and didn't seem really interested in being there. I haven't been to hibachi for years, but I was beyond shock that the start price for most Hibachi articles was about $30. I was terribly disappointed. we left without ordering food, because I was so beyond the inconvenience that were shown in this facility. I would give it without stars."

"In an effort to find oysters. We found this restaurant on our way back to our hotel. The service was extremely slow. They were out of oysters. Our waitress was attentive but she really needed some help. Other customers felt the same as they took theirchecks to the bar for payment. The food was good and presented well. The Cesar salad was light on the dressing and we had towait for more. The 48 hour Nashville chicken was good and the lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. I changed the slaw for avegetable but it was soybeans so I passed on that. I ordered the lime rice and it was good. Since my partner ordered salad itwould have been nice to have alternative vegetable choices. We ordered drinks as well. They were tasty. Overall for theexperience it was not enjoyable for the wait or price of $75."

"Ever since my wife and I moved to Austin, we’ve been on the hunt for some quality sushi. Hanara, without a doubt, has some of the best sushi in town. Everything was so delicious and fresh! Not only were we surprised by the freshness and quality of our meal, we were quite impressed by the friendliness of all the chefs and staff. "Bad experience overall. The food was not great. I came specifically for the Thursday prime rib special. I was not offered a choice of salad dressing and it came drenched (in Italian dressing). The prime rib was mediocre at best and reminded me of airplane food. The worst part, however, was the service. It was extremely disconnected the server was so awkward and I felt uncomfortable speaking with them. To make matters worse, I did not get my drink until my main course, and even then it was only after asking where it was. There were many random service mishaps (like when another waitstaff asked if I was done and if I would like a box. I said I was done and no box and they just walked away and didn’t clear my plate? Which had been sitting there for 10 minutes). I was eager to get out of there and unfortunately ended up waiting another 15 minutes for them ro come get my credit card."
