"The food here is decent and they give you pretty large servings. The service was really good, and as soon as you sit down, they bring chips with salsa and bean dip. We ordered the meal for 3 people, which comes with 3 Tacos, 2 Tamales, 2 Enchiladas, and 2 Chile Rellano. The tacos all come with a side of beans and rice, so there is definitely enough food for 3 people here, and leftovers for 2. I prefer their shredded chicken in the Tacos, and in the Enchilads, I really liked the carnitas over the cubed chicken. The Enchilads, by the way, were pretty large and very delicious--they were the perfect mix of soft and crunchy, and so were the Tacos. The Tamales were decent, but the Chile Rellano was fantastic! My friend really liked the margarita that our server suggested! The ambiance here is pretty nice, and there are three different seating areas--one outside, one indoor, and they also have an indoor bar area with tv's and it gets pretty loud in there. I might come back here, but next time I think we'll share the 2 person meal :"

"We came back to Casa del Rey today. We came early, and it wasn 't too busy at that point, but it was lively. Someone there recognized me from my Yelp review last time, which wasn 't the most complimentary review last time, to say the least, and they asked me if I would do another review if the service was good today and it was, so I am writing. Today was really nice. Everybody was gracious, and things were served promptly. I had my usual thing that I have come to love there, The Rice Bowl, but I always have it with refried beans instead of rice. I get it with carnitas and extra onions, and it 's delicious. I 'm not a fan of Spanish rice, so the beans are just a perfect substitute. There ended up being rice in the bowl, but they corrected that problem thoroughly, and I appreciate it. This dish is really good with added vegetables from the fajitas. You can order the veggies put on anything, and my dining companion ordered those vegetables in her chicken soup, which she said was very delicious that way. I think that it would be good to have that option listed on the menu as an add-on for many dishes.. I know that what I got was called a rice bowl but I think beans should be listed as a substitute because it really is good that way and is a little more friendly diet wise if you 're trying to stay away from carbs like rice and bread. And when you add the fajita vegetables, it gives it this juiciness and flavor that is over the top. Our server was a young woman named Lacey, whom we had before. She was really friendly and attentive and went the extra mile to make everything really great. This place is a longtime staple of Sierra Madre, and they have other locations as well. I 'm glad that the owner does care about the reviews. There are many things that go into making it a bad visit, and it 's not one person 's fault it could be a lot of things, and the same can be said for a great visit. In this case, the food was good, and it was hot , and the server was really sweet, friendly, and on top of things, and that made a great difference."

"*Update 5/21/2022: Before I moved out of the Temecula/Murrieta area, I wanted to write a review for a restaurant that I frequented since my teenage years. Even back in the days of fax machine food delivery through a company called Dine-In Delivery, I have always enjoyed dining at this establishment. Some of us may remember those old days before Uber Eats became popular. My wish was to have one last taste of this iconic restaurant before I left the area. I used to visit this place whenever I came back to see my mom, but now that I have sold the house, I wanted one final memory of it. I wrote this review before placing my order, and I must say, the food left a bad taste in my mouth. The only positive thing I can say is that the rice was good. The salsa served with the meal was disappointing and tasted worse than what I had six months ago. It's hard for me to find anything positive to say in this rare case. I have taken some photos of the restaurant, as I have always loved this place. Can they go back to the way they used to be? I'm not sure, as it seems they are cutting costs and losing business by failing to meet customer expectations. It saddens me to see this iconic restaurant deteriorate. If I prefer a taco from Taco Bell over the food here, that's a problem. There are many details I could share about my experience, but I believe this is enough to urge the business to make necessary changes. First and foremost, they need to change the oil in their fryer and filter it daily. If Del Taco can do it, they can too. As for the food I ordered, the carne asada soft shell taco was a disappointment, with a terrible taste. The salsa was bland and watery, lacking any heat. The sour cream was stale, and the guacamole was unappetizingly brown. The rice, while flavorful, was overly salty. The enchiladas made me feel queasy for some reason. Perhaps they need to use a better cut of meat. This place has never disappointed me before, and their salsa used to be delicious. I hope they can improve their dishes and regain their former glory."

"How have I missed this place, I've lived in Rancho cucamonga 14 years and I let this hidden gem slip thru my radar. The staff is so friendly from the minute I walked in to the minute I left they were so helpful and helped me decide what to order. Iordered the carne asada burrito which was stuffed full of flavorful meat, cheese, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo I opted for nobeans so it wouldn't be so huge and it was still massive. My daughter had special fries with carne asada, they were a heftyportion with beans and cheese and carne asada not one fry lacked meat or cheese. This place is definitely a must try with alarge menu, great staff and delicious food I definitely will return."

"I usually hand out five-star ratings pretty generously, but this place was a bit of a letdown. I was advised to try the carne asada burrito by the cashier, and when it arrived, I helped myself to some salsa and jalapeños that looked like they were straight from a can. Unfortunately, the flavor of the burrito, especially the beef, wasn't impressive, even with the salsa. It's really disappointing because the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the service was good. The ingredients in the burrito reminded me of school cafeteria food. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. On the bright side, the restaurant is well-decorated."

"This place is not worth a second thought. The food was practically flavorless. The guacamole tasted like it was pure salt. (No I don?t have any issues tasting) but I do know how to cook and could of made better at home. On top of all this I found a longblack hair mixed into my beans, which already tasted super watered down. The salsas were just as lack luster. I was verydisappointed with this place. I came because the reviews seemed decent and had to let others know this location does not live upto the reviews. Please do not waste your money on this. Taco Bell would be better.. seriously."

"BURGER HEAVEN ???? This is the real deal! Stopped in because I was craving a certain kind of burger, this kind of burger. I am from LA and I miss burgers from the little neighborhood spots named something like Ricks, Bob?s or Jim?s with thick fries and a Coke. This was it! I live in Mesa and was on this side of town so I decided to stop in. Ordered a cheese burger combo and an extra meat patty on the side for my puppy. The only negative is that they serve Pepsi products but they do have Dr Pepper, which is the soda I get if I am not getting a Coke. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"

"One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I went with my son for the first time, and the restaurant was moderately busy. I started to get worried when it took nearly 15 minutes for my first drink to arrive. After placing our order, it was nearly impossible to get the attention of any waitress unless I chased one down. The appetizers came out burnt and had to be sent back. From there, it only got worse. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked rare, which they claimed was one of their specialties. Over an hour later, it arrived, tough and barely thicker than a quarter of an inch. When ordering it rare, the fat didn't even have a chance to emulsify in a steak this thin, making it feel more like raw meat than anything else. I've had my share of bad steaks, but this one was inedible. I called the waitress back, but she never bothered to ask if I wanted anything else and just vanished. Eventually, I went to speak with the manager about not being asked about a replacement, and their response was, "We didn't approach you because it seems nothing will satisfy you." I was absolutely furious. To top it all off, I was overcharged for two drinks and the only decent dish they managed to serve. I left hungry and with a terrible headache from not eating after drinks. I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs!"

"This place is really great! I visited on a Friday when they had a live band, which added to the atmosphere. The drinks are excellent, and the food is tasty too. The ambiance is laid-back, making it a family-friendly spot. They offer a nice variety of food and drink options. The customer service is generally good, although the servers can become a bit overwhelmed when it gets crowded. "I've had waaay better Mexican food. Our waitress was nice though, helpful. The guy taking our order was VERY WEIRD, he was more concerned with the people that was coming in behind us, not even looking at us when he took our order. I just find it odd, that's all. He didn't even tell us that the chips/salsa were supposed to be put on the order if we wanted any. NORMALLY, chips salsa comes with your order when dining in, especially when our order came up to 114. (We got food for dining in and some for to go. When we received our order, (we ordered tacos burritos the tortilla weren't even warmed up, wasn't even home made, tastes like it just came out from the bag bought from a market, the cooks are supposed to warm up your tortilla on the skillet, or if they can't, atleast microwave it, it was SO DRY! The guac tastes like it came out from a store bought mason jar. Top it off, our burrito had SO MUCH SALSA JUICE, it was literally eating salsa ?. This place IS NOT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD, sorry. This will be the first last for us."

"the first time you tried this place, it recommended to be friends. her breakfast burrito is very good.
