"I have reported this incident to OSHA, the Minnesota Health Department, and Burger King corporate. I have several high-risk individuals in my household, and it is completely irresponsible for Burger King to place the health of both employees and customers in jeopardy. While masks may not provide complete protection, they are our best tool to prevent the spread of COVID-19, alongside hand-washing (which the shift manager clearly neglected, as their hands and uniform were filthy) and maintaining distance.
It is shocking how widespread the anti-science mindset has become, particularly regarding masks. All I wanted was to enjoy dinner without jeopardizing my health. Instead, I ended up having to drive 30 minutes for food since there were no other options open in Litchfield, and I didn’t get home until after 10 PM.
I will not be returning to the Burger King in Litchfield ever again. If I decide to eat at Burger King in the future, it will only be at the Hutchinson location, where the staff takes the mask mandate seriously and has been wearing masks since before it was mandated. They provide excellent service, my orders are always correct, and I feel safe there.
Throughout this pandemic, I have been nearly isolated except for grocery runs, and I am extremely cautious about my health. If I contract COVID-19 due to my visit to this restaurant, I will consider legal action. It’s time for Burger King to get their act together."
