"After a 2 1/2 hour drive from OKC Airport we decided to visit Bourbon Street Cafe in the heart of downtown Tulsa. Having only visited this establishment once before and being rather impressed, a visit was deemed overdue. Our server, Tom, found himself busy with a full section of patrons but was nevertheless attentive to our immediate needs. At once appropriate drinks were decided upon and crab dip was selected for a starter. My companion chose the aptly named Lovelace as her libation of choice while I decided upon the Forbidden Sour. The latter being a cognac based concoction and the former a medley of top shelf gin and exotic fruits and herbs. Our starter arrived fresh, hot and delicious. Served with a generous amount of pita points, the interior texture of the dip was creamy yet its exterior held a precarious crispness that only the most studious chef could apply with expert craftsmanship. The entree my companion chose had less to do with a particular taste for freshwater fish and more to do with the nostalgia of our first visit here. The black magic catfish she chose consists of blackened catfish smothered in crawfish étouffée served over a bed of dirty rice. I decided upon a dish that was entirely new to me. The pork rib eye, blackened, with sides of sautéed spinach and hush puppies were a slice of culinary bliss that my taste buds hadn’t quite prepared for. My thought processes couldn’t quite fathom how a thin crispy outside layer could withhold such tenderness within. I nearly could believe that this was a morsel of pork. It held all the characteristics of a 5 star filet mignon. How was this possible? The hush puppies, although unconventional as a side to pork chops, were found to be a buttery crispy ball of corn meal, herbs and spices. So much so that a second helping was promptly ordered; the spinach left much to be desired but it’s spinach after all."

"the food was delicious. I had chicken a la mer, it was perfect, huh was tender, not fat. to the chef. my man has dozens of oysters, he loves them. nice to see much lemon. in operation. I didn't go to mcdonalds. the host who sat us didn't wait for us. I'm handicap, my knee back, never look back until our table. she also went over butter knives on the floor paper müll write on the floor. never got a serviette. she doesn't know, it's gonna make a impression with her customer. our server was young big brunette young lady. she also went straight over the butter knife. After we gave our drink order, I suggested to her that she wants to pick him up before someone falls. She made smaller mistakes, but not biggie. but if someone for a big, our server, it has offered a bag or at least. Moreover, she was not for a togo cup of my sierra that would have shown that) amazing customer service. when our server has brought my box, she has entrusted to me the scary, is taggie) because first I don't have all my articles I ordered, and I said they should go. if I have my things, I'll pay it time. I'm waiting for the toilet. the stall walls were so dirty, plus 2 little girls played washbasins water,) not rare to find. when my man came back to our table, he asked the price of our beignets, the server explained the mini-drink desert menu), which sits on each table wrong, says $4, but on my input showed that they are $5.35 what shoukd hapoen has, server should have appreciated the price. but instead the server makes an excuse again bad customer service) she said they were not updated. Take care of yourself. I think this is their problem) other restaurants had some problems, I have seen marked with black pencil or white stickers. they should have honored it) again not big customers plus from our table I could see that our server stand-inway) is going to be there, they only chat with other servers that check out their handy. we asked for serviettes, they haven't. the door that enters from the street was so dirty, finger marks for yrs. not least when we sat first, I was looking for the happy hr drink list. my man asked for happy hr specials the young lady said that was not old fun so she could not help. well, we see that she brought a glass beer a bottle beer to a few table, she just came. I thought the law was if not 21 years old before they serve customers. the manager has to look more closely there. also they had sung the man, it was so loud, a customer could not talk to my man, good music, but much too loud."
