"We ordered two vegan ducks, two types of bread, veggie samosas, and veggie pakora, along with a side of mango chutney. Everything was delicious, and I would definitely come back. During our meal, we also met another vegan couple who joined us at our table, and we enjoyed a great conversation together. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet—at least at the time we arrived—which made for a much-needed relaxing breakfast after a long day on the road."

"Absolutely a wonderful little place to get great food. I absolutely loved my Chicken Korma and my new favorite Chicken Tikkia Masala. Amazing service, the workers are very knowledgeable and helped me find something to take home to my mother which she very much enjoyed. "I ordered for the first time today a Saturday)1 at 6:25pm. Pretty empty. Tables sticky when I waited for the food. Didn't matter to me too much the overall decor was pleasant. I ordered at 6:25 they estimated 10-15 minutes. My food wasn't done until 6:50. That's fine, under half an hour for take out is usually acceptable especially cause this is a restaurant not a fast food take out place. It seemed like it was a dad and son running the place and that made it pretty authentic. Polite and respectful. However they don't seem like they have a lot of business. As for the food I ordered chicken biryani and chicken curry. I'm hoping this will beat zaikas and maliks for Indian food as it is very close to my house. It has 4.5 star rating before I even tried it. They gave me mango chutney for me to try in a little container. Everything was neatly packaged in the bag to go. Yes! Those tight sealed containers that I can reuse! Portions didn't seem too right for he chicken curry. They left out the plain naan that's supposed to be included with the curry. Oh no. Chicken biryani doesn't look like how it's supposed to. The chicken is roasted chicken almost like a tandoori which I definitely wanted to avoid. Not the type you use in biryani! I feel like I ordered chicken tandoori with rice. And I hate tandoori unfortunately! Doesn't mix well. Garlic Naan was thick. Different than any Naans I had which are normally thinner. It makes it more bready than it needs to but I don't mind. Chicken curry was more of a sauce than curry. The sauce was thin fell off my fork. Ugh! Really Disappointed!! REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE! Came here starving after not eating all day didn't even finish anything they gave me. Ugh! Maybe they thought they could get away with serving me this cause I'm not Indian! Not worth $24.82 : plus the $2 tip"

"I've ordered from Cool Mirchi multiple times and have also dined in at the restaurant. The food is outstanding! The weekend special of Naatu Kodhi Biryani and Gongura Mutton is absolutely perfect. Their mutton (goat) biryani is incredibly delicious—just a bit spicy but so flavorful. I appreciated that they accommodated my request for half tray items on the same day. The Sunday buffet is definitely worth it, offering a nice variety of dishes; however, it tends to get very crowded. They really need to expand the restaurant and add more seating. The ambiance could use a little updating as well. When we visited with a group, it felt chaotic. We had to constantly shuffle to let people squeeze into the seats behind us, which was quite uncomfortable. On quieter days, the service is better. The food may take a little longer to arrive, but it’s definitely worth the wait due to its deliciousness."

"I don't usually write reviews on Yelp, but I visited Spice Plus to get their phone number and make sure they had their delicious samosas before visiting. I don't understand why there are negative reviews, as this place is fantastic! The staff has always been very friendly, they have my favorite mango chutney, and I really enjoy their deli. During the pandemic, when prices were being raised on Amazon, I found all my spices here at a reasonable price. It's sad to see restaurants struggling right now, and I can't see why anyone would leave a small business a terrible one-star review unless they did something really bad. When we visited last week for samosas, the woman in the deli was very kind, and the gentlemen at the front were polite and professional. They have also helped me find the right spices in the past to make my dishes taste more authentic. This is a fantastic place, and I'm happy to have a source for Indian spices close to home!"

"Jaya is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in Providence/East Providence. They specialize in South Indian cuisine, which sets them apart from other Indian restaurants in the area. They also offer some unique Nordic Indian dishes that are worth trying. For first-time visitors, I recommend sampling their South Indian dishes as they are truly out of this world. Some of my favorites include the Chicken Ghee Roast, special Hyderabadi chicken biryani, Gongura chicken, kothu parota, and chicken 65. The dosas are delicious, and the veechu parota bread pairs perfectly with their curries. I really hope that Jaya remains in business because I am a huge fan of Indian food and have yet to find another restaurant nearby that rivals the taste and quality of Jaya."

"My Pops has been eating here ever since Ali, the owner, was back at Manchester and the 405 (90's). Growing up it was always one of my favorites when he'd bring home something from here. Pretty nostalgic for me and it's as close to Pakistani cuisine you can find. So good, seriously, dont let the aesthetics trick you. Definitely try the lamb karahi, mixed grill is a must for 3 or more ppl, and the qeema paratha is . You can well feed 4 ppl with bomb Pakistani food for the price of getting a big mac meal with a mcflurry. They have special chicken biryani on the weekends too."

"I have visited this restaurant twice and had a wonderful experience each time. They always ask about the spice level you prefer, which I really appreciate. I love the variety of dishes available; there are several options from Southern India in addition to the Northern dishes that are typical for the area. "It seems that there has been a change in ownership since our last visit a year and a half ago, and unfortunately, we were quite disappointed this time. The food that used to be excellent now falls flat. The chicken tasted freezer-burned and was bland with no seasoning at all. Moreover, the option to adjust spice levels to our liking was nonexistent.
