"our dining room experience was exceptional. we had a wonderful waiter. eating was excellent and the ambiente was perfect. our meal for the three of us with the tipp was just over $500. my only complaining is that I am there about 20 minutes early and after check-in with the host I asked if I could go into the bar and get a drink and she said yes. I went into the bar, there were two empty places. I sat on one of the stools and ordered a drink. the bartender was very friendly and nice. Before my drink was delivered, another host came up and asked me if I had set myself and had reservations for the bar? I was surprised because I never heard of this. She told me I had to go. I was insulted and uncomfortable. I asked her what I should do with the drink I had just paid for, and she said I could sit in a small chair in the corner next to the bar or I could wait in the lobby. first I sat in the small stool in the corner and felt very uncomfortable and awkward, especially when I saw others sitting in the load that I had just occupied while loading right next. it remained empty for the better part of 10 minutes. I finally moved into the lobby area with my drink and waited for my guests. Bar seats should come first served and they should never leave a dame after they order a drink and pay for it. I mean, I checked at the Hostess booth and was told I could go into the bar and get a drink. I should've asked if I could have a bar stool to go with my drink."

"I was out and about with the family and we found ourselves in need of a meal. I have been to Delaney 's before, but its been a long time. We walk in and my son starts complaining that this place is a bar and will only have bar food... the boy is hangry and this is what happens when I wait too long to feed him. Top it off, my daugher is annoyed with me as well. I just wanna eat. My first step is to get some appetizers since I need to calm my hangry son down, so I ordered some potato skins figuring they 'd be enough to get everyone to settle down. The potato skins came out fast, and they worked. All was well in the world. Well, except for my daugher, she 's still giving me the evil eye across the table. For my entree, I ordered the Delaney 's Chicken Carbonara, my wife ordered Cajun Shrimp Alfredo and my son ordered the Delaney 's Boneless Buffalo Wings; which is funny since he criticized the place being bar food, then orders BAR FOOD!! My daughter gave me the proverbial I 'm not hungry , which means she 'll be having some of her Mothers food, or complaining later that she 's hungry. Our food arrives and everything is absolutely incredible. My pasta is so good I finished most of it, which is a task since they have pretty large portions. My son loved his boneless wings, and my wife finished over half of her meal. The place is clean, the service is pretty good and the food was awesome! My overall experience dining here was great. Delaney 's Irish Pub is not really in my path, so I 'm not sure how often I 'll come again, but if I 'm in the area, IT 'S ON!"

"This is a go-to place for us, lunch, brunch, dinner, perhaps 6 blocks from our apartment. The food is always wonderful; the mashed sweet potatoes are things to dream about, the guacamole consistently excellent, the steak fajitas tender and wonderful. Nothing has ever been less than good, many things, including the cocktails have been just what we wanted/needed in any given meal. But the truly stellar aspect of the restaurant is the service., It has always been welcoming, attentive, responsive, without being hovering. This last time we had a waitress who was something special ... I think of her as Morticia, tall, black dress, glides across the floor. Knowledgeable and informative about the menu and everything on it, she's also funny enough to do standup, wry, witty, brash (we're originally from NY, brash is like mother's milk ; she made the meal a total delight for all of us from the moment we sat down until it ended, and now days later I still thinly warmly about the evening. Plus there was a symbiosis between Morticia and her bearded manager that was seamless ... if even a tiny thing went awry (the guac came with the meal they were both on it immediately and then didn't charge us for the guac. Together they made it an absolutely perfect way to spend an evening with our adult offspring. There's a chasm between dining and hospitality. So often restaurants focus on the former and don't seem to give a damn about the latter. But the truth is that if you eat out more than very rarely, it's all about how welcome you feel, how cared for, how at home. This is about the most comfortable I have felt at dinner in a place where I didn't have a tv remote in my hand as I can recall recently ... thanks to all there for a lovely and a tasty (and a filling! evening (I had the 3 steak special and wobbled home content, having been warned by Morticia often enough that it was a LOT of meat, that I had to point out that that caution was not needed for a guy as fat as me ."

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am an OpenTable VIP member and have used this service for over ten years. I eat out a lot! I have rated restaurants with bad service or bad food when necessary, but this is the first review that I rated low on their overall score. My visit to Del Frisco's ended with the most horrible experience I have ever experienced in restaurant dining. Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in City Center Washington, DC, has always been my go-to for celebrations. I was at the restaurant on 3/2/2024 to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our server was good, and the food was excellent. However, this restaurant's MANAGERS ARE NOT TRAINED TO MANAGE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES. The company hires managers who do not have the required experience, training, or temperament to work in a customer service/restaurant service environment. Here is a quick recap of the events that led to this poor rating. I used the valet service company for this restaurant. However, the valet did not return my car to me at the end of my restaurant visit. I returned to the restaurant to ask for assistance to locate my car (it was midnight, and I was trying to get home). The manager was rude and refused to provide any help or information to contact the valet service company (which Del Frisco's allows to provide valet services to their customers). The manager, very smug and angry with us for continuing to request his help, refused my continuous requests (over the phone and in person) for help, and I used my phone to record the manager's denial to help me. The manager, Juan Hernandez, became angry and violent and physically attacked me and used extreme force to take my phone out of my hand. I had to rely on DC Police to help me locate and retrieve my car. No restaurant experience should end with a physical attack by the restaurant's manager. I do not recommend this restaurant."

"As for the service, it wasn't exceptional, but I appreciated their effort to accommodate one of our guests with multiple food allergies. The food presentation was impressive. My partner ordered the Kickin' Fried Chicken sandwich, and I couldn't help but envy her choice; it looked large and delicious. Our group also shared a couple of pizzas—one topped with real mozzarella slices (not shredded) and another that featured fennel sausage. A few of us, including myself, opted for burgers. Overall, everyone seemed satisfied with their meals, but my experience was different. My cheeseburger (with bacon) was cooked perfectly and burst with juices with every bite. However, it was completely lacking in flavor. The patty was bland, and even the bacon, though crispy, had no hint of saltiness. While the texture of the food was impressive, I found the overall flavor disappointing. It felt as if the restaurant is run by some sort of purist, as there were no condiments on the tables—no salt, pepper, or ketchup (only a single serving cup for fries, if you ordered them) or mustard to be found. At the time, I was mostly focused on managing the kids, so I didn’t think to ask the waiter if they had any condiments available. When we settled the bill, which totaled around $220 including tip, it felt fair but seemed like we were paying more for the location and atmosphere than for the food itself. I don’t think I’ll return, but it was worth trying."
