"The bar service at this restaurant was outstanding. Our group of six had a great experience with both the food and service. Nicole, our server, was wonderful - extremely friendly and engaging to talk to. We all enjoyed her presence. The manager also took the time to come and speak with us, explaining the plans that the new owners had for the restaurant moving forward. He was great as well. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"Nice seating area inside and outside of the restaurant. They offer a large variety of basic pizzeria items. I ordered grilled chicken salad. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was super dry. More like bread crumbs. Very courteous counter clerk/server. They do seem like having the equipment to bake nice Neapolitan pizza. Not sure why they don't? About 25% expensive."

"We order our Sunday morning breakfast here almost every week. Whatever we order is either good or excellent. Pancake, cheese omelet, eggs stirred eggs or sunny side up they were all good. We always call in order and when we arrive there, it is usually ready on the pickup table. I've never eaten there, but in the weekend morning when I go, there are usually a number of people waiting for a table."

"We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately in a mostly empty dining room. In spite of the lack of a crowd the acoustics were poor, making it difficult to hear one another. It took a little over 15 minutes before a server came to our table (we had to ask) but once she arrived she was charming and efficient. The food was great. Stuffed clams were piping hot, a little smoky from the bacon, a little sweet from the onions and a little spicy just enough to give them a zing without overpowering the clams. My husband’s swordfish dinner was both gorgeous and delicious, served in a pool of cauliflower puree topped with tender little gnocchi and a sprinkle of crushed, toasted almonds. I’d never have thought those mild ingredients could blend into anything so tasty and creative. My lobster pasta was a rich, creamy delight. Fresh mushrooms, shallots, corn, bacon and cherry tomatoes made it chowder like. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and there was a generous amount of lobster in the dish. Chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream must have been delicious, but I can’t be sure because I only got a spoonful of ice cream before the plate was emptied."

"A friend and I came here yesterday for a well-deserved dinner and night in the town. I had actually had already been to this restaurant several times in the past, and I've always had a wonderful experience every time. Last night was no different. When we arrived there were only about six other couples already seated p,so finding a table wasn't an issue at all.we were quickly greeted by our Server, and she went over some of the promotions that they had for the evening. I almost cut her off mid-day because I already knew what I wanted to order. I went for the tried and true, spaghetti bokognesa . That Italian dish has been a long-time favorite of mine. My friend simply ordered something light which was a caesar salad. We. Billed until the food arrived and when it did I couldn't wait to take the first bite. It was really good, but I fortunately I could barely finish half of it. I like this restaurant a lot!"

"Very poor tone deaf customer serviceOrdered a full house supreme pizza requesting no mushrooms. While im waiting I see employees crowd around my open box pizza noticing that they forgot to not include mushrooms. The lady running the register gets called over and she proceeds to remove the mushrooms from my pizza barehanded. No gloves no nothing. Closes the box and hands me the pizza stone face acting like she didn't just do that.Another time I called and ordered Honey Old Bay Wings. The lady who took the order over the phone spoke very poor english. I get there to pick up my order to discover that they got it wrong and made dry old bay wings. I told them the order was wrong and they basically said well its already cooked."

"Avoid this place. Service is terrible. Our order was wrong on 3 straight visits. Today was the final straw. They take your order for takeout but fail to mention.all the roads near them are closed for a car show, meaning you need to walk 1/2 mile or more to get to them (perfect for someone with arthritis in both hips). I get home and discover my wife 's salad is not in the bag and their response is you can come back and get it. Our last visit we ordered a pizza with sausage and we got a pizza with extra sauce. When we called that time we were told there was a miscommunication between the online app and the restaurant (even though our receipt from the online app very clearly said sausage) and again, no remedy or corrective action. They lost us as customers and hopefully this review will make many more people think twice before supporting this terrible business. "Delicacies was amazing to work with. The minute I contacted them about my son and daughter’s in law’s Bria they went well beyond the call of duty to help us with platters, rentals and anything else we needed. Ezra was my point of contact and made this exciting but stressful time a much more simplified experience than it could have been. And on top of that the food was so delicious. I highly recommend Delicacies!"

"Highly recommend! We've been going here for more than 15 years. They've gone through a variety of changes, updates expansions since our first experience. We have NEVER had a bad meal. Sometimes their personnel have not been as attentive as we would prefer, but they seem to know how to nip that in the bud because it's always been an isolated experience. This afternoon we went for happy hour, which is M-F 12-6! Sat at the bar. Natalie was the bartender she was fantastic. Full bar she managed it alone. We had the mussels in white sauce with a side of bread. $9!!! We love mussels have had them at many restaurants in various states. I can say with absolutely certainty, these were the BEST ever! They were clean, fresh, plump seasoned perfectly. They weren't overly salty. Fresh bay leaves, basil, parsley thyme. We ate all the mussels took home the broth to serve with pasta, it was that good! If you're in the Swedesboro area, make a point to go! BTW, another fav is Sausage Alla Botto"

"I ordered a pizza and 6 slices of carrot cake. The pizza was delicious, but the wings were not so great. I tried one and it tasted old. I called to let them know and they said they had been sitting out all day without apologizing. I told them I only had one wing and they still refused to make it right. Terrible way to treat a customer. I will definitely not be going back. Not a good look for a business that wants to stay in business."

"He ordered a small pizza while I opted for the antipasto salad. The menu offered an incredible variety, and everything looked amazing, but we were short on time. I noticed tamarind juice on the menu, something I had never seen at a restaurant before (my mom always made it for me as a kid), so I decided to order it. Unfortunately, the waitress informed me that they hadn’t prepared it yet, but she had passion fruit juice available instead, which I accepted. When our food arrived, it was delicious. To my surprise, our wonderful waitress, Nicole, came back with a glass of fresh tamarind juice! She had rushed to make it for me. Nicole is such an amazing server! Having been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I know how rare it is to find such excellent service these days. If you’re ever in South Norwalk and craving great food with phenomenal service, I highly recommend Slice of Italy. And if you’re lucky, Nicole might be there to take care of you!"

"Food was ok, I reserved a table for a certain time (7pm) to watch the Eagles play their last game of the season, but of course it wasn’t ready. Other patrons were sitting there, so we had to wait at the bar for them to leave before we could sit down. Mind you this is a Saturday night!! And no sooner did we sit down and order drinks that we were informed by the bartender that they were closing by 10 pm! They locked the doors at 9:45pm!!! This is a bar/restaurant!!! Never again will we go there to watch an Eagles game and spend serious $ there!!!!! All these girls cared about was going home! All the TVs were shut off by 9:45pm! It’s a Saturday night for Gods sake!!! The Owner seriously needs to be in location more often! So disappointed in this restaurant!"

"Tried View for the first time and was very impressed. It was a beautiful day and we sat in a room that has view of the water (it has heaters). We went on a Wednesday and it so happens that some bottles of wine are 1/2 price. We ordered a wonderful Rose. My husband and I ordered to start, duck tacos (came with 3) and the crispy thai calamari. I tried both and they were super delicious and the calamari was a generous portion. For dinner I ordered the tune a la plancha- tuna was cooked to perfection and my husband ordered the braised short ribs. It came with 2 nice size short ribs, they were tender and not dry. We both brought home 1/2 our dinners to have for lunch the next day because we were so full. And we shared a creme brulee. The creme should have been warm, but it was delicious nonetheless. Our waitress, I believe her name was Jenny (sorry if it's not), was very nice and very good at her job, as well as all the restaurant workers we encountered. We will definitely be back."

"I visited this restaurant twice recently. I tried the plain slices, which were good, and I also had a hero with steak, mozzarella, onions, and Peter Luger sauce that I thought was quite tasty. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was polite and attentive. I enjoyed my experience and plan to come back."

"So my friend wanted a NY flavor slice of pizza, but in Philadelphia. I highly recommend John's Place for pizza if you're looking for a NY flavor type of slice. I went on a Thursday evening around 6:10pm and it stated online that they closed at 7pm for now. The workers were welcoming and the order of 2 pepperoni slices was served in under 10 minutes. It was served hot and had a good dough that wasn't flimsy and stayed afloat during the entire devourourment. Good cheese to pepperoni ratio. I added the extra italian seasonings and parmesan cheese offered to shake on yourself. They have competition nearby but this is your spot if like I said you're looking for a NY style slice of pizza pie. The mozzarella sticks (6) are good also served with a good, chunky marinara sauce included. Kid-friendliness: Kids love pizza right. This is some good pizza. Definitely worth it."

"Good food, reasonable prices.First few times I ordered for delivery, it was during peak hours (noon, 5:00) so I expected to wait about 30 45 minutes. My shortest wait time, 55 minutes. My longest, almost 80 minutes! Next few times, I ordered during off hours (3:30, 8:00) expecting a much shorter wait.Still took about an hour.Bottom line, if you 're ordering for delivery, place your order an hour before you want to eat.4/5"

"Italy is a small local pizza joint that has the appearance of your typical neighborhood pizzeria. Beautiful paintings of Italy decorate the walls and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I was extra hungry, so I went with my usual level and added a white slice and a Sicilian slice. The meal came with free bread, which was pleasantly fluffy and had a good mix of herbs and spices on it. The plain had quite decent sauce and cheese and the charred crust was good, but a bit burned in some places. The white was very fluffy with a good help of cheese. The square pane had really great sauce and parmesan and a nice amount of fluffy on the basis. Overall, I would say that Italy produces a good average piece of pizza."
