"Incredible mexican restaurant. Love the appetizers of chips and guac (spicy is hot! or the nopales. My favorite dishes here are the lengua burrito (burritos are wet style burritos that come with some delicious rice and beans and the chili rellenos. Can'tgo wrong with any of the Mexican choices. Unsure what the pizza is like but that's not why I come here. They also have a fewbeers available. A hidden gem i share here because I want them to prosper."

"DO NOT RECOMMEND: Ordered ahead on DoorDash and the order took 35+ mins to prepare two tamales and one pupusa. They would not pick up the phone when I called. I arrived at the store and picked up my meal ....and there were no pupusas. Went back into the store and waited an additional 15 mins for one pupusas with no discount, refund, or any effort to make up for the fact it took so long and they still messed up the order."

"I had a disappointing experience at Muelle 37 Seafood Restaurant on Cage blvd in Pharr. that I feel compelled to share. First and foremost, this establishment is definitely not kid-friendly. I would never consider bringing my children here after what I witnessed. During my visit, the TV was playing music videos from VEVO that were not only inappropriate but also quite disturbing. I found it shocking that such content was being shown in a family dining environment. When I brought my concerns to the attention of the waitress, she seemed indifferent and did nothing to address the situation. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I certainly won’t be returning to Muelle 37. I’m just grateful I didn’t have my children with me at the time. If you’re looking for a family-friendly dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere."

"I visited this restaurant, located just behind Cox's Smokers and Liquor Shop on Preston Highway, on January 14, 2022, at 6 PM, and again today at 3 PM. Although their advertisement claims they are open, both times I found the place closed, with no lights on and the door deadbolted. I hesitated to speak out due to concerns about potential backlash, but it's misleading to tell customers you're open when you are not. This should be addressed."

"I visited this restaurant for a dine-in experience at 11:01 AM, but found the front door locked. I called the restaurant, but no one answered, despite seeing staff in the kitchen who appeared to be ignoring the phone while my child and I waited outside. I then decided to go through the drive-thru to see if they were open for inside dining. The staff confirmed they were open, but when I pointed out that the front door was locked and that I had just called, she explained that it was likely still locked because she hadn't had a chance to unlock it yet as they were still preparing. She mentioned that they opened at 10 AM, and I expressed my confusion that they had been open for over an hour without allowing customers inside. She fell silent, so I chose to take my business elsewhere. I went to another Arby’s where the doors were open and ready to serve us. I will never return to this location! If you're open, your doors should be unlocked! The purpose of arriving early is to prepare the store and be ready for your operating hours. The customer service here was very disappointing."

"The food looked appealing, but the taste was just mediocre. I ordered nachos with extra cheese, but I had to send them back because there was hardly any cheese, and the meat appeared dry. While they specialize in seafood, our experience didn't meet our expectations. My husband and father-in-law ordered seafood plates and were disappointed. The shrimp cocktail lacked flavor, and the fried shrimp was overcooked. The fish was bland as well. On a positive note, the presentation was attractive, and the service was good—our waitress was friendly."

"We had a group of ten, and we were seated immediately. The hot sauce was a bit too spicy for everyone to handle, but then the delicious food started to arrive. We enjoyed avocado topped with melted white cheese and chorizo, along with homemade hot tortillas—unlimited tortillas, no less! We ordered one of the family platters, which included steak, chicken, and shrimp, served with rice and beans. Everything was delicious. The steak was tender, the shrimp was perfectly grilled, and the chicken was flavorful in bite-sized pieces. Overall, the taste was fantastic. We will definitely return when we're in the area again. The service was also outstanding!"

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"I've been to El Rancho twice now and it's safe to say that it's in my top 2 Peruvian chicken joints. I stopped by during a cold and gloomy afternoon and this was the perfect meal to warm me up. I ordered two 1/2 chickens with plantains and yuca. These orders came with one yellow, green, and orange sauce each, so I got double of each sauce since I had two orders. The yellow and green sauces tasted like every other restaurant which is great because I love them! The orange sauce was something new for me. It was a tiny bit spicy but great with the chicken. The chicken itself was super moist and piping hot and the sides were super filling. The first time that I got the yuca, it was pretty dry. However, this time around it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm glad I gave it another try! The plantains were great as always. I usually like mine a little crispy on the edges but the ones they gave me weren't too browned. I just ended up stealing some from my friend who ended up getting 2 sides of perfect plantains. I'm usually okay with a 1/4 dark but the meat was so tender and juicy that I ended up finishing a 1/2 all by myself! The food was definitely was a 5/5! It was a little difficult to order because of the language barrier, but we ended up working out what I was trying to order. This didn't contribute to my 4 star review just wanted to include this to give a heads up to any future customers! The main reason why I changed my rating to a 4 is because of the wait time. After ordering, it took almost 30 minutes for me to get my order. Usually when I get peruvian chicken I get my order really soon after I order so I was surprised that with no line it took so long. This could be because they were waiting on items to cook, but 30 minutes is a while to wait for a to go order. I'll definitely hit up El Rancho the next time I'm in Springfield!"

"We have been trying to go every Thursday for the last few months. Always had great service and the burgers we get have been very good. Only once the burger was under cook and they took care of the problem right away and keep on apologizing for the mistake. I think the onion rings are great. We do plan to try another night sometime"

"This is a fantastic little spot with excellent pupusas. I drove over an hour and a half, covering 95 miles one way, just to enjoy this place. Coming from central Illinois (61362), where we don't have many options for this delicious cuisine, it's a real treat. Between the cornfields, there aren't many places other than small mom-and-pop restaurants that have managed to survive against the tide of bigger franchise chains. You won't be disappointed; it's definitely worth the drive! The service was great, and the waitress even had a smile on her face—something you don't see often nowadays (which is a shame). Overall, the food and service were wonderful, and I hope they continue the great work!"
