"I am compelled to write this review because even though I am not Peruvian, I grew up eating authentic Peruvian cuisine. This place is a hidden gem, I have been to many Peruvian restaurants in Miami and there ceviche is amazing. This is a small restaurant, but don't be misled the chef is wonderful. There typical traditional dishes like Lomo Saltado( steak strips mixed with French fries)and their Chaufa de Mariscos(combination of seafood) is also delicious. There beer Cusqueña, has a nice light side to it complements the dishes well. There are some dishes that are family style and can be shared. The only complaint if that is that there Sangria is average and in my opinion expensive for what it is. As for the service, they are pretty good and attentive to your needs. Lastly, the pictures on the walls give you a nice feel and are pretty. Enjoy this hidden gem."

"I would advise against ordering takeout or using Uber Eats from this place. Honestly, it's best to avoid dining here altogether. The ají de gallina was more like a watery soup, and the chicken lacked flavor. Unfortunately, some family members experienced food poisoning from the ceviche and lomo saltado, resulting in vomiting. Don't waste your time here; instead, consider ordering from Embarcadero or Mr. Ceviche."

"Mix feelings about this place. 1st I visited was on a weekday for lunch.. it was quitter and my friends and I had a nice service and to be honest the food was QUITE GOOD. I was very excited to bring my boyfriend to try so I choose a Saturday afternoon to invite him over. We went on Saturday and I was VERY DISAPOINTED. No body great us.. No body told us were to sit after waiting for 3 4 minutes (waiters were talking in a corner some of them).. so I thought ok.. we will pick any table... Being on the table.. the waitress ignored us.. we probably waited for 10 minutes... the restaurant was probably at 40% capacity.. but I had to tell one of them hey we sit here because no body greet us waiter said ok.. and took the order.. They brought the dishes but never brought the additional drinks.. at this point I did not want them anymore and just wanted to leave as we did not feel welcomed as a customers. I went to pay the bill and the drinks were in the check... they removed them but barely apologize. Sadly I am not coming back to this location... "Been here maybe 3 or 4 times since i live close. More disappointing than happy. Had the birria tacos and house special chaufa(customized item not on menu pictures are provided. Birria tacos weren 't really birria tacos.......They took their regular tacos and put a couple of drops on the outter shell(so you can tell the double shell wasn 't completely dipped ....no cheese cooked on the shell...NO actual birria experience except for the consome that lacked flavor and wasn 't hearty at all (no meat in the consome And the lady asked me if i wanted cheese , agreed to it, and they still didn 't put any cheese in/on my tacos. I couldn 't do anything but laugh. Chaufa was a custom made order which I appreciate they accommodated my request, but it was very disappointing. Although they included extra onions, cilantro, and limes (I feel like that was for the tacos but I could be wrong I 've seen more inviting looking chaufas and they didn 't even bother to give me any aji Verde sauce(green sauce ! I don 't even usually eat chaufa without it. However, last time I did have their green sauce it didn 't live to expectation anyways....All in all this will be my last visit. "We dined at this restaurant during Frederick Restaurant Week and opted for the fixed-price dinner. My partner started with the stuffed peppers as his appetizer, which he absolutely loved—it was a generous portion. For the main course, he chose a traditional Peruvian seafood dish while I had the sea bass, and both were delightful. For dessert, we shared a tropical cheesecake that was out of this world—the flavor was exquisite and the texture was smooth. It was the perfect way to end our meal. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This place is AMAZING, the food is at another level of deliciousness. My second time tonight and ordered varieties from appetizers, soup, sushis, and dessert to go. I mean really this is by far the best sushi ever and my new favorite place. Our waitress was Valentina both times, and she is awesome, amazing, super attentive to our needs and desire to try new things. She knows her plates very well she does amazing recommendations and she has not failed at none. If there is something I love about restaurants is their attention to detail with customers, she even remembered what she recommended the last time I visited a few weeks back. I just wish there were more stars for me to recommend and rate higher this review. Totally recommend this place no joke."

"Me and my boyfriend was seated and the waitresses were so nice. They were really sweet and they offered us free drinks twice and we don't drink but it was really nice anyway.Even though the waitresses was nice, the food was bad I'm sorry.I'm peruvian and the food was just not good. The Lomo Saltado was kind of sour, the fries were the frozen kind and the rice tasted burnt.The papa a la huancaina was...not good either. The sauce was cold like it came from the fridge, the sauce didn't taste like a la huancaina. It tasted different, it just wasn't the flavor it should had been. It felt like they use the wrong ingredients.The chi cha was watery and a little bit sour.The chicken was good actually.But that was it. The price was fair but the food just was not good I'm really sorry."

"Sadly, quality has gone down. I used to recommend this restaurant to eat Peruvian. Prices are high and portions have decreased. The rotisserie chicken hasn't been the same this year. I'm not sure if they change their recipe or chicken is not selling fastenough. Dry, tough and not the usual flavor. I hope things get better since it was my favorite place to eat Peruvian locally."

"This was a great lunch spot. And after dining I. I'm sure the night life here is amazing. Lots of big TV's for futbol and great Peruvian food. Generous helpings and good price. I tried something other than chicken for once and was pleasently surprised. This fried pork was amazing. Can beat fat juicy pork bites fried up fresh. Yucca was a great side as well. Highly recommend the chicharones y yucca. Filled me up and had leftovers for dinner! Ohh and do not sleep on the onion salsa that really was the best part. Secret amazing sauce. I would eat a bowl of it on its own."

"I normally don't leave reviews, but I had to make an exception after trying takeout from Huascaran Restaurant tonight. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. It was my first time trying this local restaurant, and I decided to order a variety of menu items based on recommendations from other reviews. I tried the ceviche mixta, papa rellena, cau cau a la Criolla, and jalea de pescado, all of which were served with fresh red onions and tomatoes. The acidity of the vegetables added the perfect touch to each dish, which was incredibly flavorful and fresh. For dessert, I had the arroz con leche, which was rich and creamy. I can't wait to dine in at the restaurant soon. This place definitely lived up to the hype. Highly recommend trying it out!"
