"I placed an order over the phone and provided my name and phone number. I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my order at 6:30pm, I was informed that there would be a 10 minute delay due to a rush of orders. This seemed illogical as a time had already been quoted before the rush. I decided to wait in my car while my son waited inside the restaurant, believing it would only be an additional 10 minutes. However, when I checked in with my son 20 minutes later, he was told it would still be 10 more minutes. After calling myself at 7:17pm, I was informed that they were just starting on my order, which was odd considering they had previously stated they were working on it. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to prepare one plate. Despite the quality of the food, the lack of communication about the delay and the fact that they had already charged me before my food was ready were major disappointments. I was even asked for a tip before realizing the hassle I would endure. A simple courtesy call about the delay would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, I left with my food after 7:30pm, 1.5 hours after placing my order. This experience has made me reluctant to return to this restaurant."

"This was our second time here. The first time was a great experience, but unfortunately I left disappointed this time. The tacos were boring, expensive, with mostly lettuce and not much meat. The meat was not very flavorful either. Two tacos were almost $9.00! The Jalapa fries were good but seemed better the first time with more sauce. A lemonade was $3.50 which seemed pricey as well. Service was slow and our waitress was hard to understand. Worse for me was the price discrepancies.. the money said one thing but the recipes had a higher price. Fortunately our waitress fixed it but seemed odd that happened to begin with. I was not impressed with the Cuban sandwich either. I don’t know what happened from our first time to our second, but don’t think there will be a third ?"

The tacos are huge, I had carne asada meat, my grandaughter had the carnita tacos, our friend had carne asada plate. Super good quality of meat, carne asada is the best I 've ever had. The help yourself salsa bar has about 10 different salsa 's. Their bean dip is wonderful, and guacamole is so good. The menu is huge. BTW, taco 's are served with beans and rice OR a salad, the plates all come out so warm, they heat each plate before putting food on it. It 's super, super clean. Prompt service and fast. They have a huge menu, salmon for one, lots of plates . Take a look at the menu online. . It REALLY IS EXCELLENT! Not expensive either!!"

"Waiting to be seated took a long time, even after I mentioned to the hostess that I had joined the waitlist. Once we finally got to our table, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to come over. When she did, her approach was quite abrupt—she jumped right in with “What do you want?” instead of offering any sort of greeting. However, once we placed our orders, things improved. The food arrived promptly, but the chicken fajitas lacked flavor. On the bright side, the elotes were fantastic!"

"It’s a pity how poor the service is. It seems none of the staff were trained. We were seated on time for our reservation but then no one came over to the table for about 15 min. The bread and oil were very tasty. A majority of our table tried the prefix menu and were surprised at the serving sizes. For 3 courses there was way too much food and it was such a waste! The food was just ok, my husband does not recommend the patatas bravas and the paella was mediocre at best. The worst part of our experience was that none of the plates from the first course were cleared before the second course came out and they began to auction the dishes to us. We had to collect our own plates and move them to the next table to make room. One of the servers also spilt soup on one of the guests in our party and they hardly apologized, nor did they offer a towel to clean it up. I would not go back and I do not recommend at all. "We live nearby so usually takeout. Rabo oxtails, chivo goat, mondongo tripe soup, roasted chicken, baked grouper, shrimps these all work well for takeout, but some are only available certain days. The restaurant gets crowded, especially in the evening, so we don't eat in the restaurant that often unless we can go for late lunch before the crowds but some dishes, like grilled fish, are best to eat there while they're hot so better to eat there in the restaurant for those dishes. Malecon gets some really nice desserts tres leches and flan are very good"

"This is my favorite Mexican place in town. They have great American style Mexican food. It's *almost* authentic but not so heavy on the cilantro and jalapenos which is how I prefer mine. "The staff was phenomenal, super kind and helpful. They brought out our kids plates first without being asked which I greatly appreciated. My husband had the bandeja paisa and I had the ajiaco, both were delicious and filling without being overly heavy. I unfortunately don't have any pictures of our plates because they were too good to wait and take a photo. My only complaint was that the live music was a bit too loud and made having conversation difficult, but that's just a personal preference. Next time we just won't go on a Friday night or we will get the food to go. We will 1000% be coming back though"

"I used to enjoy going to this restaurant, but an experience I had today has soured me on the establishment. I had in hand a coupon from a local publication indicating I could receive 1/2 off on a lunch combo. My wife and I ordered from the lunch combomenu, but when I went to pay, I noticed that the price was higher than that listed on the menu. The reason? It was a Sunday andthe very fine print on the menu indicates that lunch combos are only available Monday through Saturday. Worse, the fellow at theregister would not accept my coupon, even at the higher price, despite the fact that there was no indication that it was notvalid on Sunday. I blame the server to some extent for not pointing out that the lunch combos were not available on Sunday.All-in-all, a very disappointing experience and an example of poor customer relations."

On September 18, 2021, we came back to celebrate my husband's 66th birthday and brought his sister along, since we had been raving about this place to her. She lives just a short walk away but hadn’t visited until now. The young man working there was incredibly kind—he opened the door for us and helped us find a table that accommodated all of us, as my sister-in-law uses a wheelchair, my husband had a rollator, and I use a cane. The service was quick, and as always, the food was hot and absolutely amazing! My sister-in-law immediately fell in love with Arturo's, and they did not disappoint. She mentioned she would definitely come back and joked that if she could, she'd be there every day, wishing they would deliver to her since she would be ordering daily! Overall, we left as happy new customers. My husband was thrilled to celebrate his birthday in such a fantastic place with delicious food. Thank you!"

"This is our new favorite Mexican spot! This location (opened in 2018), is tastefully decorated and very clean! I really like their salsa, white dip and melted cheese dip with tortilla chips (which all, except the cheese dip, comes complementary with meal or drinks). We've ordered everything from their monster burritos to fajitas and everything has been fresh, generous and yummy! Their fresh guacamole dip is delicious and made right in front of you. That alone can be a meal! Service is prompt and attentive. We've been with parties as large as 20+ and the waiters and waitresses still managed to serve everything as ordered and at the same time. Bonus: The margaritas are NOT made with that yucky tasting mix found in so many Mexican restaurants. They are the real deal! They give you the option of salted or sugared rim. Generous with the tequila. Muy bien!"
