"I made plans with Pilar to visit the Dead End Café in Parksville. I was eager to check out this new spot that opened a few months ago, especially since I had heard there was live music. However, I have to say, I absolutely despise loud and intrusive music during meals—unless, of course, I'm at a KISS concert with pizza and beer, in which case it's hilarious! I called the café to inquire about the music and to make a reservation. To my surprise, the gentleman who answered told me that the owner performs and that the music isn't loud at all. So, I made a reservation for two, not really knowing what to expect, especially since the Dead End Café is located in a very quiet, almost “dead” village."
