"Definitely take the advice of others about making a reservation in advance we got there at 6:15 6:30 on a Saturday night and they were booked through 9:00. The house manager was nice enough to seat us on the patio at a table that was reserved at 7:30 if we agreed to be done by then. We appreciated that everything gluten free is clearly labeled on the menu. They even served a nice toasted gluten free bread in place of the house bread (which looked incredible). For our party of three we opted to share several smaller plates: Stuffed dates with goat cheese, pastrami, spinach, and walnuts the favorite for all of us; four per order so the next time we go we'll order enough for everyone to eat at least two. Beet salad with watermelon and feta cheese excellent. Fried cauliflower in a spicy sauce my daughter and I thought this might be the second best thing we had. Halloumi cheese fried and served with roasted pepper, walnut, and pomegranate molasses great. Shishito peppers good. Cheese and meat platter good but this is the thing we all agreed we would not get next time so we could try something else. We were all stuffed at the end so we might have ordered one too many things. Great, friendly service; it was lovely on the patio after the sun went down; and the place had a great vibe from all the people happily eating yummy food. We will certainly be back!"

The Westin

"We are very supportive of wait staff and folks who prepare food. We used to do it ourselves so we know how hard it is and we know when a service is run poorly. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at the Carolina Room or any eatery at Westin since we arrived. You’ve got a systemic morale problem with your staff. They are nice people but I have heard at every meal how overworked they are due to lack of staff. This was said directly to me and we overheard many conversations amongst themselves. It was a long wait to get food and when it arrived it was cold and didn’t taste good. My daughter ordered fish tacos which she liked the day before. The tacos presented at the Carolina Room were made with a different fish. She didn’t eat them. The waiter noted she ate nothing but didn’t offer to find her another meal. We had to ask for a drink refill and no one bussed our dirty app plates until well into our meal. I asked for two lava cakes to go and when we got to the room, we discovered the lava cakes were cold. Today, we ordered lunch in the room. My husband ordered a chicken wrap which is described to have walnuts and cranberries. It came with avocado and cucumber. So he didn’t eat it. Every dining experience at the Westin so far has been late, not up to expectations and expensive. The one thing we all agree is delicious, though, are the fries. If I were Westin, I would be worried about the state of staff engagement and how you can rectify it as soon as possible. They are the face and voice of your company. They aren’t rude to guests but they are openly complaining about their jobs. Never a good sign. It certainly has made me question if this is a place we would return to. Happy, engaged employees wouldn’t let my food arrive cold or leave my water glass empty."

"For those who work in the area, Cafe 100 is a great option for lunch or a snack. They have a very diverse menu, and everything is freshly cooked and delicious. On Thursdays they participate in the Century City Farmer 's Market, selling Korean inspired pork belly, chicken, and marinated beef. I think it 's the best food vendor for the farmer 's market! Back to the Cafe, they offer a rotating menu depending on the day of fresh cooked food. Some of the special items are pretty inspired and surprising for a modest cafe; I think the 'chef ' is pretty good. They also have a wide range of packaged snacks, fresh cut fruit, salad bar, and beverages (from soda, to juice, to muscle milk! . This is a family operated restaurant (the owner 's are Frank and Heather, say hi! . I come here pretty regularly and have noticed that many of the patrons are regulars too. Frank/Heather love to chat with their patrons they give excellent service and are just wonderful people. Located in the lower floor of the 10100 building, you need to take the escalator or elevator down to the A level to find the restaurant. It 's not the snazziest interior, just a few tables in case you want to sit and eat immediately. Most will take their food back to their office to eat. I 'd also recommend going upstairs to the courtyard, where there 's ample seating with shade. In all, the price is right, the food is delicious, and the cooking is healthier than many of the new joints opening up in the Century City mall. Highly recommended!"
